Things we'll never see in Modern Who

In Pyramid of Mars, The Doctor took Sarah Jane Smith to the future to show her what the world would look like if they didn't stop Sutek.

We will never see stories like that which use altering time as a part of the story but with no reset. Maybe the Doctor would accidentially change something and go to the future and the Timelords are still around?

Also, I think we did see part of the Time War, starting in Genesis of the Daleks during the Tom Baker era when the Time Lords wanted the Doctor to destroy the Daleks before they were created right up to Syvester McCoy's time as The Doctor.

Weirdos!!

Now a crossover with Merlin on the other hand...

Bring on the Battlefield references - they could work Lethbridge-Stewart into this one - in the alternate universe, he could still be kicking arse and shooting five rounds rapid!

Guessing you hated The Next Doctor then?
well I hated the bit when the Giant Cyberman came out of the Thames. I liked the rest.

I suggest you watch The Shakespeare Code again...
yes that was not very well explained, I dont like Sci-Fi & magic to mix, its one on a list of things that bugs me.
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

;)
and Doctor Who should take time to explain how the "magic" is done.

Seeing as how the Daleks and Cybermen keep coming back, I doubt we'll ever see the true extinction of one of the old Who evil alien races.

Ok - You'll never hear a Doctor with an American accent. Can you imagine a Doctor with a Brooklyn accent? "Where's my f$%&* sonic thingy?"

Or a Doctor with a deep southern accent - "howdy ya'll, I'm the Doctuh." I don't think the Doctor will ever have a non-British accent. The Queen's English is what he speaks, with a few exceptions, but he'll never ever say "color" instead of "colour" or "program" instead of "programme" because he's just that awesome.

Yes, but the fucking "C" in the word schedule is NOT fucking silent!!!

On the contrary, I like it when the Doctor is confronted by stuff beyond his ken. Adds a real "Oh shitte" moment.

Right, because that's exactly what Doctor Who needs: technobabble. If you want that, go watch Voyager.

I'd rather they stick with "reverse the polarity of the neutron flow" and "wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey" type explanations, thanks.

I never said it had to be good technobabble (despite the fact its good for your soul), just explained that its not actual magic

He explained they came from a dimension where language worked like higher order mathematics.

We've previously seen advanced mathematics (Block transfer computation) used to manipulate reality (Logopolis, Castrovalva).
