I would quite like to see it, however I do confess that I agree it would lead to it being a let down, that or too similar to Peacekeeper WarsHow about the Time War with wobbly sets?
Actually I never want to see the Time War...let's face it it'll probably be a dissapointment, they couldn't possibly do it justice, I think it's better to live in our heads!
I can't remember the old Doctor Whos. I recall one season was based entirely on Earth with a brigadier or something. I doubt we'll see anything like that again.
it does lead to alot of discussion, I recall some heated ones on here, where people disagreed with how I think the Time War went, if they ever did do it for real, two things would happenI like the mystery of the Time War.
A pure historical.
A pure historical.
An older Doctor (like Eddie Izzard or Bill Nighy).
What does that have to do with the attention span of the audience? A pure historical can be as frantically-paced as a science fiction story.Yeah, I would like to see those, but does not seem like the attention span for something like that is there with the audience.

"The Highlanders," in 1966 was the last "pure historical" until "Black Orchid" in Davison's first season.Supposedly, they stopped doing these, even on the old series, by the 1970s because they noticed that they never got good ratings compared to more exotic alien stories with the Daleks or something. They didn't start doing historicals again 'till "The Time Warrior" when they decided to combine a medieval setting with a Sontaran invasion.A pure historical.
I want that toPersonally, I keep hoping that they'll do a crossover with the BBC's Robin Hood series.
dont be so silly, there is no magic in the WhoverseWeirdos!!
Now a crossover with Merlin on the other hand...
