The USFL is back? Why?

If there are no regular challenges in the UFL, why are the coaches challenges called a “super challenge”?

UFL playoff teams are set, with two weeks left in the season. Home teams are still TBD. The matchups are Michigan vs. Birmingham and San Antonio vs. St. Louis.

Currently, there are three 1-7 teams (Arlington, Houston, Memphis) in the 8-team league.

Are they fighting for the right to draft Malik Willis? :D

I wonder if he is eligible for the UFL draft, or would be considered a free agent? He could definitely use the work. I wonder why NFL teams don't send these younger, less known prospects to the UFL for some playing time?

The “draft” is anyone not on an NFL roster. I would guess the NFL teams don’t want their paid players to put any more wear and tear on their bodies. Plus it’s not like any of the spring teams are using your playbook. Or maybe a player can’t be under contract to two leagues. A couple years ago one of the spring leagues wouldn’t let Josh Johnson sign with an NFL team because he was under contract with them. USFL MVP QB Alex McGough iis under contract with the Packers (as a super long shot WR) so he’s not in the UFL this season.

That's definitely a double-edge sword. A lot of these young guys come onto the field, especially at QB, and play like they don't know what a football is.

QB play is why these new spring leagues will never get better. AJ McCarron is probably the best of the bunch and NFL teams don't want him.

Actually, McCarron asked for his release from Cincinnati so he could go play in the Whatever FL this season.

I caught part of a game this past Sunday. Between poor play on both sides of the ball and shitty officiating, I won't be watching another Meh-FL game anytime soon.

I've actually been enjoying it, quite a bit. But, I'm a football junky.

Time to go watch some minor-league Arena football!

I watch the UFL games simply because it's football on my TV. I'm not sure I've watched a complete game this whole season, but I've watched portions of lots of the games. Those sideline interviews are horrible though, I wish they'd cut those out. Especially that bald dude, he's the worst.

Rumors are that there will be no expansion in 2025, and that Houston and Michigan could be moved.

Roughnecks have the lowest attendance in the league, wouldn't surprise me to see them move. I hope whoever gets them renames them and gets rid of those ugly ass uniforms. LOL

Since the divisions are called USFL and XFL, are they required to only move to cities that had teams? :D

Current game is 18-9 and the broadcasters always make a big deal about how one TD and three-point conversion is all it takes to tie the game, but these teams never get the conversion when the game is on the line.

And the QB just threw an INT.

The scheduling gods must hate the UFL. Michigan/Birmingham and San Antonio/St. Louis play each other the next two weeks.

San Antonio scores go-ahead two-point conversion with under two minutes to play, refs say he didn't get in, replay overturns it, so St. Louis challenges...... that a player was illegally downfield. And they win it!

So San Antonio has to run the play again pushed back five yards and the wide open receiver in the end zone drops it as he gets hit. He probably shouldn't put that on his reel for NFL teams.

The final regular season game has the worst two teams facing off. Nationally televised prime time.
