Yes, as per TNG season 1, the male skant uniform is indeed in SNW!

Long live uniform equality!

Nice catch on the skant! Made me take a closer look and it seems like to the left is someone is wearing an updated bathrobe utility jumpsuit. Possibly.

Yes, there are several things to unpack in this image:

The first thing that leaps out at me is that many of these uniforms seem to have gold or silver cuff stripes, not the self-colored stripes seen on the main cast. This actually looks much more effective than using metallic red stripes on red tops and metallic blue stripes on blue tops. I also don't quite understand why they would want to use two different formats. It could just be a trick of the lighting but on several of the uniforms the stripes seem just too distinct for that.

Agreed about the different look on the person standing directly behind the male officer in the red skant -- there's another similar costume on the person standing behind the male officer in a yellow top to the far right od the picture. Both appear to be in the same sky blue as Dr M'Benga's uniform. Similarly, there's another apparent medical uniform nearer the foreground on the right.

Seeing this group all together makes me even more convinced that they really should have made the v-neck part of the standard top in black rather than the same color as the body.

What pleased me in that image was seeing the big emblems labeling cargo containers - they're the same as the label used in ST:TMP (and nowhere else, that I know of).

In fact, a lot of the internal architecture - beams in corridors and in that image, for example - appear to be derived from the first Star Trek movie. A good idea, considering that it would carry forward onto Picard's Enterprise D as well.

Is it a skant or one of the black panel uniforms? The black panel unis seem to have longer hems.

As far as I can tell, the "black panel" uniforms are essentially a mini dress, worn over black leggings.

The male version looks a little longer than the female version but appears to be otherwise the same (which is similar to the TNG version).

Man, those corridors are BRIGHT!

I'd hate to be the one programming the DOT's to keep it all that shiny!

Red rank stripes on red uniforms is just odd
