We only got a sneak peek at Picard/Laris, but it allowed S2 Picard to end on a note of hope. Given all the doom and gloom that Picard dropped, it was nice to see.

Given relative lifespan, it's not as creepy as all that, since neither is human. It's Trek's only real acknowledgement of age differential, especially for a shorter-lived being. What with Klingons and Romulans having thrice the lifespan of humans and all but all hushhush-hushiepoo on that. Still, better hush hush than rush rush...

The writers really made a mess of it by providing like 4 contradictory explanations of what exactly Tyler/Voq was, but did they have chemistry - Burnham/Tyler.

That dancing scene in "Magic To Make The Sanest Man Go Mad" - SCORCHING. Possibly my single favorite scene in all Disco season one.

Dal/Gwyn had a more bearable relationship than the others left.

I really enjoyed the final moment of PRO when Dal ensured that Gwyn would be the Captain.

Wow, that's the biggest mistake I've made since I first started running these in 2019! On Friday I had no time and I was in a rush to get something posted, since the last game had wrapped up on Wednesday, and I was going to post a list with very unambiguous parameters, but then I thought - Valentine's Day, got to do one of the love-themed ones! So I didn't do my usual exhaustive checking and rechecking that usually goes into any list with remotely subjective parameters. I can't believe I forgot a whole show, especially since I'm obsessed with Spock/Chapel.

I'm actually believe SNW needs to end with a flashforward to their happy married life in the post-TUC era. I'm hardcore shipping those two.

Ah well. Next time. I'm confident no couples from that show would have won, at least.

Seven/Chakotay make the PERFECT winner. From the whole list, they definitely would have been my choice. It was such a bad, lazy, chemistry-less ending for both characters.

Captain & Admiral Freeman were the 2022 winners of this game. Which makes sense - at the time they won, Alonzo Freeman didn't even have a first name yet. And most of their nice couple moments aired in later seasons of LD.

Didn't post my wrap up on the last thread, so I'll say here that "There Is A Tide..." was also the 2022 winner of the Jonathan Frakes game. Hard to argue with it! It's really weak. Though I did think "Lagrange Point" had potential to take it, I don't think the Breen disguises were managed very well.
