The Premiership is probably the toughest league, but it doesn't produce the best football, it's not conducive to it.

Respectfully disagree. I get to watch all the European leagues and western hemisphere leagues if I want. I don't think the Premier League has to take a back seat to any of them for the quality of their game.

Mo Salah has a goal and an assist. He's set a record by scoring in 5 consecutive opening day matches. Jota and Firmino have the other goals. Liverpool over Norwich 3-0.

It's not really a qualitative thing. It just seems like some leagues develop slightly more flowing 'flair' football. You certainly see some imports struggle to adapt to the Prem.

Time for a good old International break. Sadly ENG are away in Hungary and I fully expect a night of torrid racism like we faced in Bulgaria and Montenegro in the Euro qualifiers. I've booked my tickets for my first ENG game since Covid for October against Hungary - Lucky for me, there will be no Hungary fans allowed...
