Spoilers Supernatural season 14

It was nice how they figured out a way to incorporate the aborted Wayward Sisters setup into the main show.

I like how they are incorporating the WAYWARD SISTERS backdoor pilot into this season. Maybe it will get a second wind.

It was nice to have Jack solve a hunter problem by thinking like one. He will really be a great asset if he gets his powers back.

But that coughing blood is bad. I wonder what is causing that?

Dean being Dean... but at least he recognized he was being dangerous quickly. He and Sam have matured enough to recognize those behaviors, though still can fall into those patterns. (VERY hard to change lifelong habits, so this is consistent with real life human behavior.)

I wonder if being Nephilim is causing medical problems that his angel grace would normally prevent.

Or, they could get really whacky, and have this be step one in turning him back into a baby...He could probably benefit from a childhood.

I doubt they would go that route, though...or, at least, I doubt they would go that route before the series finale.

You already know the big moment when Jack will get his powers back. A monster that could kill him in one blow decides to throw him against the wall several times instead, and then when it looks like either Jack or someone he cares about will get killed, the powers come back and everyone gets saved. Maybe a recurring character will die and make Jack feel guilty for his powers not returning 5 seconds sooner.

So I see Micheal is actually Mr Morden now. :) Better keep a eye out for Shadows. Don't worry though I am sure their is some good slash fiction being worked on right now where Dean and Sam meet again where Shadows never fall. I felt the episode was solid. I'm really interested in getting to know the guy who was Satan's host better. If done right I can see him becoming a major character. They did show a clip of that lifeform in the big empthy so I can see it teaming up with Satan to once again return. Maybe Misha Collins though will get to play Satan because of it. Also like Sam's beard. Way better looking than a certain Vulcan friend of ours. I do think we are going to have a Angel heavy season because the credit sequence had angel wings on it. I forget though where Rowena and Alt-Charlie is suppose to be.

Jason

Misha Collins has already played Lucifer, when he escaped from the cage a few seasons back.

Wow this episode is uh cringier then normal.

God I hate that word but I wasn’t sure what else to call it

I kept getting an error message trying to watch last week's episode on my Kindle, so I finally watched it yesterday on my TV in black-and-white. I haven't seen this week's yet.

This was a good episode. I like how Jack was able to figure out how to save the girl, proving to himself that he doesn't need his Archangel powers to be useful. But that was mitigated by the small issue of coughing up blood. Did Lucifer injure him more than was previously thought? Is he really afflicted with some human illness that he should be immune to? Or is his Archangel body just degenerating without Grace to sustain it?

It was nice to see Sheriff Jodie again, and I like how the Wayward Sisters plotline is merging with the Michael plotline. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see Patience and Claire, but hopefully they are on the way. And Kaia's Evil Twin has a weapon that can hurt Michael. How is that possible? How and why did she journey to this world? Did that have anything to do with Michael abandoning Dean's body? And will that giant figure from Wayward Sisters figure into the story somehow?

I've come across many Supernatural fans who prefer standalone status quo case of the week episodes, and it only took the show four episodes this season to undo the big game changer and get back to that.

Not sure what that had to do with my post.

So....Halloween episode............

Seriously, what the fuck was that? Part of me loved the humor:
"Bert and Ernie? No, that's be weird. Rocky and Bullwinkle?"
All the references back to Hell Hazers 2
Killer Thundercats toy; yeah, OK, that's a plus.

But....Dean hiding in his room? DEAN? Dean doesn't hide. Go to a bar, get wasted and ride the electric bull, yes but not hide.
Not being able to figure out it's a ghost a lot sooner?
Why did we spend so much time with obnoxious Stewart if he was going the spend half of the episode unconscious?

So kinda really liked it, kinda made me cringe a little.

It took 14 seasons but we finally found out why Sam hates Halloween.

I enjoyed it but the parts where they showed the movie didn't really look like a movie made in the 80's. I think it would have been better if they used an actual movie as a reference.

^^ I thought it did. That hair and that outfit screamed 80s.

So the fact that their Halloween episode came the day after Halloween made it feel a little anticlimactic or something, but it was still pretty good. I liked how Dean and the nerdy kid bonded throughout, and I also liked how the nerdy kid actually stood up to the monster, even though he was out of his league. The nerdy girl was very good, too-- kinda reminded me of Felicia Day a bit. It was definitely weird that Rage Nerd virtually disappeared from the episode after the second attack-- and his mom disappeared after that hospital scene-- since he was such a recognizable personality type. One would expect a lesson-learned scene at the end, at least. Maybe it got cut for time. I think it would be nice if TV series did Director's Cuts on their DVD sets.

Other than that, a fun romp with a little 80s parody thrown in (and that funny sequence where the kid's plight paralleled the movie as the security guards watched) and nobody died-- how many Supernatural episodes have their been where nobody died? :rommie:

I miss Sam's beard. It looked good. I was kind of amazed by how much real nerd stuff they were able to use such as Thundercats doll and I think you had some major labels such as Superman comics in the store. Also liked the Scooby Doo lunch box which had to be a nod that Scooby episode from last season.
