I find that slightly ominous.
^ I don't think so. SPN is still CW's number 2 show (behind The Flash), and they just recently said that they will keep it on-air as long as Jared & Jensen want to do it. TV Guide said the slight reduction was done to get a few of their shows in a bit earlier. CW has more shows on for next season than ever before, even expanding into Sunday night.

Just a bump to let everyone know that Hilly Hindi has put out another great Supernatural parody--this time, a Ghostbusters/Supernatural crossover. It's amazing how many of the cast members show up in this one. Watch it all the way to the end for the last scene with Misha--very cute.

That was awesome!!! Loved the whole thing. So many easter eggs from episodes.
The reduction to 20 episodes was also to allow Jensen and Jared more time with their families (TV Guide). Keep them happy and hopefully keep the show going longer. Kinda stressed to see a lot of articles on the internet insinuating S14 will be the last. I hope they break Gunsmoke record of 20 seasons myself.
Btw, anyone else see this parody: Supernatural Parody 2 by Hillywood Show? I absolutely loved it!
You might look up 3 posts. 
They have quite a ways to catch up though. Law and Order: Special Victims Unit is going into it's 20th season in a month or so and that doesn't look like it's ending any time soon.
Wasn't the original Law & Order cancelled during its 20th season upsetting Dick Wolf as he felt they deserved one more season so as to break the Gunsmoke record? Though, even factoring in its a half-hour format for the first seven seasons, Gunsmoke would still have been ahead in terms of actual minutes.
I think it was canceled during season 19. Gunsmoke has more episodes because the seasons were a lot longer back then. i really don't know how they made so many during that time. The actors and crews must've been tired as hell.
