Starship FARRAGUT: The CROSSING

There's also either a lieutenant commander or commander on the bridge toward the ending of "The Alternative Factor," IIRC. I've always thought of him as Commander Kenner as mentioned in "Mirror, Mirror."

I keep hoping to see an evolution in the quality of Farragut. But the acting, effects, and scripts seem to have plateaued since the second or third episode. That said, I'll still watch their next effort and wish them the best.

Looks like this long-awaited webisode will soon be uploaded (soon is, of course, a relative term), since the Farragut Facebook page has had a lot of activity recently.

Looking forward to it...

Their soundless end credits were uploaded over the weekend. Looks like we're headed for the finish line...

spoilers inside the acting credits if you dare go read:

looks like Grissom and other Dreadnaught Dominion cast members are making an appearance in the Crossing...

Of course it will. When they're done with it and when they're ready to release it.

Is this ever going to see the light of day?
Well it's far, far easier to churn these things out quickly when you have people donating tens of thousands of dollars to the production. That's just a fact of life for most of these productions.

Starship Farragut have said in their most recent Kickstarter video that the ‘Croissing’ will be released early next year. It will be 75 minutes long.

The "Soon" they have been posting for months is "early next year." "Early next year" is slightly more precise than "soon." I think anything after June 30 2016 can now be considered a delay.

This is the ultimate answer to Maurice's question about release dates.

And since I am as guilty of confirmation bias as anyone, it is also the ultimate confirmation for my own obsessive refusal to say what will be released when at Star Trek Reviewed. No one can watch anything until it's out, and if you miss the release and catch it a month or two later... you can still watch it then.

"Early next year" is somewhat more specific than "soon," but it's still not as accurate as "eventually" or "someday."

From the way they have been pumping it up on their FB page, I'd expect The Crossing to come out sooner rather than later.

So that would be mid winter or early spring or late spring or the first half of 2016 rather than the latter half?

I just don't see the point of them ramping up their social media focus on the episode the way they have been unless it's coming out in the next two or three months.

They've put out an update, looks like this production will finally be premiered at a con on February 12th to 14th (assuming an internet release will happen soon after).

So this is mid winter. And it might be around the same time we get STC's Ep. 6.

And potentially ST:NV's The Holiest Thing. I'd love to see all three productions releasing episodes close together like that.
