Ok.

But they will not be able to read this as I am soft banned on Twitter through no fault of my own. :D

There are already fans working on all of the shows.

No one person should have total control over Star Trek, it should be a consortium of fans making the creative decisions working together as a team
They're already doing this.

Kurtzman is the head of all of Star Trek, but each show has its own creative teams, with their own writers, directors, showrunners. There is minor overlap with SNW, PIC and DSC but not a lot.
I don't think any of the Lower Decks or Prodigy people overlap with any other shows.

They get together and discuss what each other is doing so they don't accidentally overlap or contradict each other.

Some of the ideas presented in the last page or so of this thread are not exactly a rousing endorsement for “Star Trek should be written by the fans”.

Not to say that they shouldn’t though. Aaron Waltke and others are fans who work on the shows and have some decent ideas. Heck wasn’t Ron D. Moore a big fan of TOS? So it’s always been written by the fans. Just certain ones please.

Let me know what they tell you.
Nothing, though they may take the weekends off.

It is entirely possible that they did not even see my tweet as they probably get thousands, or at the very least they could be ignoring it.

There also seems to be some form of ‘soft ban’ in effect on my Twitter account, also on @Danja . I have no idea why. Maybe it is for spamming Twitter with Seven of Nine stuff. I really have not done anything to offend anybody on Twitter, I would never do that. Twitter is rubbish anyway as I can not fit everything that I want to say in to one tweet due to the character limit, I need more space like here at TrekBBS before I begin to talk Star Trek properly over there.

I’ll let you know if they get back to me though, but they probably will not.

I hope that the new Seven of Nine spin-off show crew are talking to the Prodigy crew, especially if there are potential links between the two series, Picard series 3 gang should have done so too if they wanted to use Janeway. But I guess that series is all about Picard so they might not have wanted to.

To my knowledge, there has not been any official announcement of a Seven of Nine spin-off show.
They probably don’t want to ruin Picard season 3 as it would be a potential spoiler for Commander Hansen/Seven. Especially if she was serving on the Titan under another Captain and had not been given command of the Enterprise F yet.

I like the sound of a character limit on the TrekBBS, personally.
I think that they turned one on earlier this year as I kept hitting the character limit wall all of a sudden. I have to think really carefully about what I type sometimes now so that I can fit it all in.

Maybe, but you're talking as if a 7 of 9 spinoff show is a done deal, when it's just your wishful thinking at this point.

Ok, yeah they could still do a Section 31 show starring ‘Times Magazine Personality of the Year 2022’ Michelle Yeoh if they want. Dal could still be in that spin-off too if he does not get in to Starfleet. :)

I CAN'T spam them. My app won't allow it!

Alex Kurtzman is in charge of Star Trek. He should be used to hearing from fans. (Compared to the Disco bashers, I'm relatively friendly.)

The shadow ban is gone. I never had this problem B.E. (Before Elon).

I think it was due more to my politics than anything (Several left-leaning journalists got banned on Twitter simply for existing. He's just banned Taylor Lorenz of the Washington Post.).

ETA: Taylor has now been permanently banned from Twitter for criticizing Elon Musk (Only a few days ago, he said he didn't believe in permanent bans!)

Elon to Donald Trump (after he attempted to overthrow the government on Jan. 6th): "You can come back! It's cool! It's all good!"

Elon to Media: "HOW DARE THEY CRITICIZE ME! OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! "

OT:

You don't NEED to do anything to offend Elon. If he doesn't like you, he'll MAKE UP a reason to harass you.

Elon Musk has a persecution complex. He is a dangerous, paranoid, unstable individual on a power trip.

If no writers room has been assembled this will be quite the Christmas miracle.

If it's a follow-up to Picard, my guess is he'll use the same people who were on Picard. They're not starting from scratch.

He has the same group of people writing for all of Trek (Disco, SNW, etc.).

Kirsten Beyer got pulled off SNW (Henry Alonso Myers took her place).

Elon would get offended if you take five seconds to long to even say anything.
He might not like elongated conversations.

I have been looking through my post history on Twitter and the only thing that I can find that may have got me soft banned is this:

It can’t be my Seven of Nine posts.

As long as they do not rush everything last minute, it takes two years to plan a new series and I’m thinking that they need to aim for an early 2024 release schedule, so they will hopefully assemble a writers room soon, perhaps in the new year after the hiatus. :techman:

Stop getting your hopes up over the Enterprise-F or Seven.
