So two other ideas for impulse engines and a blank if some one would like to experiment

Awesome render - and I love the 3D printed version as well!!!

Great work Peeps! :D

Cannot wait to see if the Franklin gets the Hot Wheels treatement!!!!

Hope the new trailer gives you more to work with. Look forward to updates.

Chemahkuu: 15 threads already? I didn´t know. I don´t read all threads.
If I had known, I wouldn´t have made my previous post, although it is in the correct thread, which talks about the USS Franklin.
@Admins: feel free to remove my previous post in this thread. ;)

Really nice renderings of a fine little ship! Funny but those raised details fanned out on the upper and lower saucer surfaces remind me of single ended wrenches:

Well thanks to Qmx we have some good images of the Franklin, there showing off their 1:350 scale ship at their booth during comic con, still early but do hope that someone will get a few photos form underneath the ship as well a close image form behind. but you can be sure that Ill be slowing getting this model done and may get it printed at
the same scale.

Turtleman, first off thanks for the pics on the first page and very nice work. I think I actually like your model more than the official one (especially with the shuttlebay in the back as shown below).

Is there any way you can make an obviously non-canon version of your original work with the viewscreen notch on the front filled in with a continuation of the normal saucer section surrounding dual photon torpedo launchers in the half recessed hole style of submarines in that spot?

I was hoping to make a FASA pre/TOS era escort ship sheet on my blog and your version of design would be perfect for the visuals due to the similarity of the Franklin and the Locknar from the same era. I don't have any modelling skills myself unfortunately.

Still have some pc issues so working is slow but I can probably do a tos style run on the ship. Be a few days tho. As I'll probably get the movie version done first
