Star Trek Beyond In Prime Universe

I'm not convinced the USS Franklin NX-264 or Edision are part of the ENT continuity, but it's a neat idea that he might be still sitting there, raging and fuming 100 years later in the Prime Universe, where the only station on the other side of the Necro Cloud is a Regula-1 type or something (or now probably a Discovery-style reimagined prime universe space station:lol:)

In the episode where Major Hayes gets killed Malcolm asked for 3 volunteers, and Edison was one of the 3 that stepped forward.

According to ENT Daniels, the Xindi attacking Earth was never meant to happen so the ENT we see is not the ENT history of TOS Prime which is the in universe reason why we never heard of a Captain Archer from anyone lol
Wasn't the Enterprise NX also supposed to have been destroyed in season one? The Klingon Encounter was directly caused by the TCW too.

Another galaxy? There's nothing in the film that suggests that.

In the film, no. But a tie-in description on one of the CBS/Trek websites they mentioned Yorktown being in the Andromeda galaxy. Implying the new stardrive on the 1701 was part of a fleetwide Vengeance transwarp upgrade to expand out there.

So Kelvin Voyager will get home in 70 hours instead of 70 years lol

I tend to discount what doesn't appear on screen or in the sound track. While things said by the production team can be interesting, they're basically meaningless.

Similar to novels and comics.

Enterprise is certainly part of the TNG universe because of TATV, and TOS because of the Defiant.

There are still elements in TATV which can support an alteration in the timelime. Riker and Troi appeared at least 11 years older in that episode, and in the mirror universe episode the The Defiant was firing aft torpedoes; I don't recall a Starship Class vessel every doing that. The Guardian of Forever mentioned it doesn't take much to alter time which was why the traveler needed to be careful of what they're doing. Who is to know the affects done to the universe when Picard and crew journeyed back in time, revealing future events with people and accompanying so called historical events with people from the past? As I recall, Picard didn't even clean up the mess from FC and left Borg remains on Earth.

Nero and Spock may have merged the timelines destroying what was known to be TOS universe, now Discovery and the Enterprise appears more of an extension to JJtrek, so the Prime universe saying could be valid.

Possibly. But, maybe not, since TOS Starfleet never seemed to have the tech to build a station like Yorktown
Nah, the makers of TOS might not of had the technology to pull off the Yorktown, but that doesn't mean the technology of the 23rd Century Federation doesn't.

I *might* allow the station, for the reasons you're stating, even though it seemed very, very advanced compared to anything we saw or heard described in TOS or even TNG-VOY. However, putting it in another galaxy is a *plot point* that was pretty thoroughly contradicted.

What tech is need that they didn't have in TOS? And where in the movies do they say it's in another Galaxy?

Star Trek Beyond does not take place in another galaxy. That is not claimed or implied anywhere in the film.

As far as I can tell the word 'galaxy' is only even used once in the movie, at the very end, when Eddison is explaining how he found purpose in the goal of making humanity strong again by 'bringing struggle back to the galaxy'. A line which obviously makes no sense if the galaxy he's talking about isn't the one that humanity lives in.

The tech should be around in the Prime, but since the Franklin wasn’t a thing there, Idris Elba wouldn’t be seeking revenge on the Federation

Atmospheric forcefields, for one. Disco retcons aside (which transplants basically everything from TNG and Kelvin into the pre-TOS era), they didn't exist in-universe until TAS and TMP.

The JJVerse is weird since they say that there was a war with the Xindi there. Considering the Sphere Builders are supposed to have abilities to alter different timelines, I wonder what they did different there that caused a actual war to happen.

Who's to say when they were invented ? If they're in TAS they're in TOS, unless they specifically say it's new tech

It's a reference to the events of season 3 of Enterprise. Edison was a MACO during that voyage.
