Could Pucards Enterprise Leading Federation Fleet Save Battlestar Galactica & Rag Tag Ships From A Massive Cylon Attack?
Can we have a Brand New Movie with (Captain) now Admiral Pucard, in a brand new Enterprise leading a Federation Fleet sent to investigate a large number of ships heading for Federation Space. On arrival they discover Battlestar Galactica in a furious battle with The Cylons. Admiral Pucard soon discovers Galactica is leading the remains of humans from where we originated. Admiral Pucard commits The Federation Fleet against The Cylons to save The Galactica. Now The Galactica tries to get The Federation to go back to their home worlds & evict The Cylons.
How about it Movie Makers, come on you know it's a Blockbuster.

It's "Picard". With an 'i'.

Starfleet ships are heavily networked, and Cylons don't have transporters. It all comes down to who gets the drop on whom, and neither outcome would be very visually interesting. Definitely not 2 hours worth, anyway.

Not to mention that the current era for Starfleet is 2409 A.D., the TOS Galactica reached Earth in 1979 A.D., and
the nuGalactica reached Earth 150,000 years ago.

Here's a question:

Did the surviving Cylons become the Borg? 150,000 years is a long time

Sorry yes "Picard".
For the sake of a story line how about Galactica going through a wormhole into future time, perhaps not knowing they have done so.Thus Starfleet intercepts them.

Can we bump this to Fan Fiction or Future of Trek or something? This is definitely not material for the movies forum, since it is not about an existing Trek movie.

I came across some stories years ago by someone who did a neat crossover story of the original BSG with TNG.

EDIT - It was Dark Dawn by BJ Henry.

I enjoyed them. There was a neat parallel between the TNG poker game and the Galactica crew's pryamid/triad/whatever it was game.

Twas also interesting reading and visualizing the Enterprise-D picking off Cylon fighters like pop cans, and making short work of mighty Basestars that made the Colonials quake in their boots. I can't remember how the story went, but eventually the Cylons started putting up more of a fight, and Baltar was involved, of course.

Having the Cylons encounter Starfleet in the new show is just one big geekgasm. One I wouldn't mind seeing. Just because the show ended one way doesn't mean we can't entertain another resolution. Talk about a happy ending!

If Picard knew what frakheads those Colonials are, he wouldn't bother saving them. :rommie: Plus, they practice a ridiculous ploytheistic form of religion - how unevolved can you get? Even more primitive than those pathetic Bajorans. It would be more his style to give them an oh-so-superior lecture and fly away.

OTOH, I would pay real money to see Bill Adama beat Picard to death with a flashlight.

Or have Tyrol choke him to death with his bare hands.

Or have Boomer lose it and blow a couple holes in his midsection.

Whatever. I'm easy.

I simply cannot imagine how these two universes could in any way fit together. I've seen Star Trek and I've seen BSG/nuBSG, but - not even with the best intentions - I can't find ANY points of contact!
No, really. Even after reading (well, perusing) the short stories and wrecking my brain before I fall asleep, it simply won't work...

Spoilered for the benefit of any who may not have seen the nuBSG finale:
One could allow that The Preservers seeded Kobol from the Earth in the finale, which would clear up how humanity evolved here but was out there. One could also allow that the FTL jumps used by battlestars were capable of jumping intergalactic distances - OR, that Kobol is somewhere in the unexplored parts of the Milky Way. Then, 150,000 years ago, the nuGalactica arrives at Earth. In the meantime, life went on for another group of humans from Kobol, and their Cylons. Their Cylons fought a long war with a reptilian race who gradually adapted Cylon tech into themselves, until the line was blurred, and when the war ended, they were all "Cylons". These were the humans and the Cylons from BSG:TOS. They arrived at Earth in 1979, fought a brief secret war on Earth that was ultimately dealt with by Gary Seven and Wilton Knight. Knight utilized Cylon technology to build a series of super-vehicles for the Foundation for Law And Government.

All this would leave the nuCylons "out there" somewhere, as well as possibly other humans, and lots of leftover issues to deal with from BSG:TOS - probably mostly under wraps by Section 31 and the Knight Foundation.
See? Both BSGs, Star Trek, and all the Knight Riders - all tied together. Could probably work the old cartoon Pole Position in there, too, if we wanted to. :techman:
