Sleeping Arrangements

In full view of the other Lower Deckers?

Not as kinky as stampeding cattle through the Vatican... but definitely kinky!

Well, for what it's worth, stampeding cattle is something that falls under my criteria for "kinky."

Now, about those sleeping arrangements on the Cerritos.

Like I said, you can give them shuttle bay sized room, and cram a large amount of bunk pods into that section and make it communal with facilities for lower decks (aka, cadets and ensigns) and make it NICE.. .as opposed to having them literally in corridors.
I think that sleeping in corridors is quite logical solution - in case of decompression all personnel in large cargo bay would be thown to the space, while corridors can be divided in sections with emergency containment fields and airlock doors.

The shuttlebay or cargobay can also be divided into sections the same way.
Remember that internal forcefields can seal off any section of the ship.

The risk exists for either scenario... and most of the people would be on duty during scenarios that may result in damage like that (the key is to program ship systems forcefields to come on pre-emptively and secure various sections where people who might be off duty are located.
In case of a hull-breach, I never liked the fact that it takes so long for a forcefield to come up and seal off a breach... it would come on virtually instantly (all other systems usually do - unless of course there's a problem with the power distribution system and it has to be rerouted to divert enough power to this system).

The Cerritos also has a giant window in the corridor, which (if compromised) ends up blowing everyone out that way.

I would prefer a solid door over a force field any day. The fields sre great as long as you have power, different episodes have shown power interruptions before.
In 'First Contact' Picard showed off a force field window which I think was a totally needless risk- they have had transparent metals for many years but now they want to keep life support in the hull regions reliant upon a constant uninterrupted flow of power? OK I guess as long as the ship never encounters a weird anomaly or goes into battle...

No, but even in the absence of a constant power supply, they remain just as strong as before. Something to be said for that...
Well, it is primarily plot based so I'm less concerned about it.

Though, personally, I would have a starship be a solid tube or cylinder, with windows allow the outside, the command center in the center, and any essential functions well protected. However, this is Star Trek and such considerations are not common.

The most logical part would be to use the large cavernous areas in the inside of the ship.
Given the sheer size of even a small Starfleet ship, the logical course would be to give every unaccompanied officer a nice little cubicle of their own, with larger ones for couples and families.

I'm sure there is a "Privacy Screen" either real or force field, so the LD'rs can have some "Privacy"

IMHO, cali-class requires that place to store the supplies, e. g. blue barrels to fall on Worf, seeds and replicators for colonists, construction elements for starbases etc.

Yep transporters, warp speed, replicators but still no technology to securely stack a barrel.
