Season 2 of Picard has the best opening credits (incl. main theme) of all Trek shows so far

Haven't ever skipped the opening credits so far and probably never will!!!

I really prefer the TNG theme (Prodigy would be a close second).

Agreed! I love love love the revamped theme for season 2. I think the new graphics kinda lose the story of season one's a bit (the shards vanish entirely for much of the new footage) and the CG badge at the end is weak, but otherwise it's mint.

I like it. The new arrangement of the theme makes it sound kind of like the GOT theme..

The images are stunning, but the new arrangement of the theme has not grown on me at all. It just doesn’t quite come together for me and lacks the poignant simplicity of the original version.

I really like the revamped version for S2…wish it were available to buy online.

I still prefer the themes for both LD and Prodigy of the new stuff. None quite catch TOS, TNG, DS9 (either version) or Voyager though.

the less said about the Disco theme the better.

I like it a ton. Especially the new season's arrangement.

I tend to giggle a little bit at the end when it reveals Patrick Stewart, though. I 100% appreciate what they're going for, but to me, it just looks like Picard is visibly disgruntled to be surrounded by VFX.

Season 1's opening credit sequence and theme tune were perfection. Season 2 on the other hand, though I still like the theme and opening sequence, I don't know, it feels like the overdid it and the whole thing feels too "busy" if that makes any sense.

I accept the credit sequence had to change, given season 1's was so specific to certain story points from that season just as season 2's seems to be, but they really should have just kept the same theme season 1 had. It was already perfect, and by changing it the way they had they proved they can't improve perfection, but rather have taken away from it.

It's a very good opening credits sequence in my opinion, with some interesting imagery and dramatic music. Not my favourite, but top five maybe.

I much prefer Season 1. Season 2 as has been noted feels very busy and kind of aimless. I prefer the opening graphics in Season 1 too.

Still, it’s very nice. Not bad by any means, but not the best.

1-2 has the better intro but obviously 3-4 has the better episodes.

I like the visuals for the S1/2 Picard intros but the actual theme music is a zzz for me.
