News Season 1 DVD/Blu-Ray Release

Feels like Amazon is getting later and later when it comes to deliveries. I'm still waiting for mine and it's almost 7 PM. I hope it still comes today.

The British blu ray has a weird thing at the back saying that the language of the disc is “United States”. I wasn’t aware that was a language. Is that just English without “u” in some words? :)
The US Picard season 3 blu ray has it as English.

I did get my copy finally. Now I can do a full Prodigy rewatch eventually. Looking forward to seeing some of those back half episodes again, like the Stage play episode or the Mindwalk episode or the one where we go under water.

You forgot that we say lieutenant strangely too!

The letter Z is also pronounced differently in the US than in other English speaking countries. "Zee" in the US, "Zed" everywhere else. In fact, that's probably why they have "United States" listed as the language on the box, because of all the times Dal refers to Zero as Zee.

I watched the Oddessy of Prodigy feature the other night, and that was a great 20 minute feature. I do wish they had talked to more of the cast (I've seen only a few of the features on both disks and they have only turned to Gray, Purnell, and Mulgrew) but I'm fascinated about what went into creating this show.

I got the german complete season 1 set friday, the case has a flip cover with just the art which I decided to use.

For any Canadians who happen to be Amazon Prime members, and were holding out for a price drop to get the season 1 blu-ray sets, just wanted to let you know that Amazon Canada currently has the two season one sets on sale with exclusive Prime pricing as part of their Prime Big Deal Days:

Season 1 Eps 1 - 10 - $22.99 ($5 off)
Season 1 Eps 11 - 20 - $21.99 ($6 off)

The DVDs are also available if you prefer those, for $2.99 off the non-Prime price.

(Yikes, this thread was *just* within the one-year cutoff, one more day and I couldn't have posted here! )

That's a good deal. I recently got the ( imported) version sold in the region B region. This one has all of Season 1 in one set. Can confirm this bluray works in North American players. ( I'm also in Canada). Its regular price is similar to the cumulative price to the half season ones you posted. Just may take a bit longer to ship.

Got my copy of Season 2 today. I'm bummed there are only just 2 featurettes. I was hoping for a little more, especially since Netflix isn't keen on the behind the scenes stuff.

Mine arrived today. Unfortunately discs 2 and 3 are stacked on top of each other (the included case only has two holders). Luckily the discs don't look scratched. I dug through my Blu-ray collection and found that at least one of my Christopher Nolan's was a Blu-ray film / Blu-ray bonus disc / DVD three disc case, so I swapped it out and now have it future proofed against the known problems of disc stacking.

I think they were all that way because mine came the same way. Kind of cheap.

Sony is the worst. Of the 8 seasons of The Blacklist that got released on blu-ray only one had no stacked discs and that was a MOD release. They stacked 3 disks on one side and two on the other.

All my Picards have stacked disks. I hate it. None of my Discovery’s have stacked discs because I got the steelbooks.
