Recent Game Purchases

I went to a hobby shop today and lucked out. I've had an urge to grow my classic game collection and found some (I think anyway) gems.

These include:

Chip 'N Dales Rescue Rangers (NES)
Talespin (NES)
Rygar (NES)

and I managed to pick up Jet Force Gemini (N64), a game I've never played but always heard good things about. In all, I managed to pay only $10 a game, which isn't bad!

What are some of your recent game purchases?

The last couple things I got are The Last of Us Part 2, and The Gold Edition of Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Picked up Gears 5 when Wal Mart had it discounted down a couple of weeks ago. Haven't installed it to the xbox one yet, though.

- edit -

Sorry, it was GameStop that had it on sale, not Wal Mart.

I went on EBay to get more GameCube games. I really want to travel through time and kick my own ass for selling all this stuff I had before. It's through the roof now! I rebought Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for $150  I'll still need to get Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to get my collection back to where it was. No doubt, this will cost me out the ass!

Also, I used to have a Game Boy Player. Well, now, you're lucky to find one for $170... without the disc! Which you NEED to use it! I'll have to get one, though. I have a few Game Boy and a lot of Game Boy Advance games, but no Game Boy or Game Boy Advance to play them on! Damn you, younger Turd Ferguson!!!!!!

I had a GameCube for a short while, bought it and five games for next to nothing from a Buy Backs (now closed) in Austin to pass time during my unemployment about ten years ago. Didn't care for it that much, was easy enough to sell off.

Combined the Ubisoft sale and a coupon from my Microsoft account and got the download for Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection for eight dollars. Its at 42% now, still downloading to the portable drive.

I played the first two parts of the Ezio trilogy on my Xbox 360, was still early in the third game, so I may just start the three of 'em over from the beginning later.

Have you checked via Amazon? They have used Metroid Prime 2: Echoes copies for around $33 or so.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0002ILS1U/ref=dp_olp_ALL_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=ALL

Had some luck through them before, same with used game stores. It's worth checking them as well.

My son got Super Mario All-Stars for the Switch, and I ordered Star Trek: Invasion for original Playstation.

I wish I still had my PS1, so I could give Invasion another try. I played it back when it first came out, but didn't make it very far. I think I'd probably do a lot better today.

PS2 is backwards compatible, which is how I’m planning on playing it.

I actually stumbled across my PS2 the other day, but one of my family's dogs chewed through the wires for it back when we first got her a few years ago.
