just started watching the Star Trek Strange New World show on Paramountplus.

Really weird to see on screen, Rebecca Romijn carry an unconscious Andorian over her shoulder in the weird B 2/B12 deficiency episode.

It wasn't filmed very well, but there wasn't anything weird about. Una isn't human and is stronger than one. Spock doing the same thing wouldn't be weird, either.
And it was an Aenar, not an Andorian. ;)

its still weird to me to see Rebecca Romijn carry a male Andorian over her shoulder like he was a light bag. Reminds me of something from the Simspons where a cartoon female character an somehow lift and carry a heavy man over her shoulders

Why? What so weird about it? Again, she's playing an alien. No different than Ethan Peck as Spock doing the same thing.

She's Illyrian. Who are acknowledged as being genetically augmented and thus possessing capabilities that normal Earth humans wouldn't have. I mean, this is also Trek.

This isn't even remotely new. Yogurt mixed with real fruit is a newer concept than "alien character can do things the usual humans can't."

Spoilers.
Spoilers for whom exactly? The OP has seen all two seasons.

But, again, how does any of that matter? The very episode we are talking about here does already contain the moment where Una reveals that she’s a genetically augmented Illyrian. Unless you want to say the OP somehow only watched that one scene where she carries the “Andorian” over her shoulder and nothing else.

Seems like an odd thing to be hung up on, in a show that is clearly a fantasy. Even though there are women who can carry men, in the real world.

I can believe in: cross species breeding, faster than light travel, transporters, non-corporeal beings, a magic device that can translate most any language instantaneously (that it has never been exposed to before) and most everyone in the galaxy looking like some variation of human.

But a woman carrying a man... that is just too fucking far!

:guffaw:

I mean, it wasn't a man. It was a stuffed dummy with a flat butt and loose, dangly limbs. WHO COULDN'T LIFT THAT??

;)
