Picture #2: this could be the Dauntless coming across the wreckage of the destroyed relay station. At least, it's a possible explanation for the shocked appareance of the crew. Alternatively, they could be coming across the Borg cube, but I doubt they would be so hot on the heels of the Protostar already.

Picture #3 (and the following) are intriguing. Was a copy of the Diviners holoprogram saved? If so, why do they access it only now?

Picture #9 and #10: this may be the "protogies" coming across the "living construct", as they look shocked to a space beneath the bridge, while Jankom apparently thinks he can destroy it with a phaser. I'm guessing it won't be that easy.

Picture #16: Jankom Pog already feels at home on the cube, maybe ready for some "concussive engineering"?

Picture #20: Aw. Guess Zero succeeds in saving the day.

I wonder why Gwyn is singled out in the title card for the episode (her and only her surrounded by Borg drones) while Zero is apparently the key character this episode.

This looks like it will be a thrilling episode. Looking forward to it.

I’m guessing because Gwyn remembered how to access it and had the computer reconstruct their conversation.

"The crew answers a distress call to find a colony trapped in Starfleet’s past.".
No doubt, this is the distress call received at the end of 1.12 and we will go to the planet with the weird old Starfleet guys and gals. Aaron Waltke is the writer of the episode, and I think this is what was referred to as "an ensign Garrovick" episode. This was a redshirt ensign from TOS who actually survived an away mission (and had a pretty substantial speaking part and own backstory), but what they mean with the reference is not clear.

I've also heard that the Borg episode was also the "haunted house" episode that was promised for this run of episodes.

Really weird! Picture #11 also calls out Galaxy Quest, watching "historical documents" or a Kirk/Spock speech or something like that?

Another impression from the preview pictures: I think Murf is sick (his "metamurfosis" is getting near, coming in episode 1.14) and Rok is a bit depressed about that.

The synopsis: "when the crew attempts to secure transport to the Federation, they unwittingly cross paths with the Vice Admiral who is hunting them".
So it appears they are trying alternative ways to reach the Federation. Pity it won't work this time around, due to "bad impression" that the Dauntless crew has.
