Prison Break - The Final Break - Question

I started to watch "Prison Break" on DVD and I'm near the end of the second season, so please, don't spoil anything for me.

I saw that there was this movie "The Final Break" and I was wondering in which order I should best watch it. Do I finish all four seasons first and then watch "The Final Break" or should I watch it between certain episodes? Is it even worth watching?

This is news to me and I watched all four seasons of the show. Was it some kind of direct to DVD movie?

I just looked it up and based on what it is about--essentially two episodes from the last season meant to address some gaps surrounding the series finale--I would watch the entire series then watch this last.

It's set after most of the final episode but before the coda in the very end of the final ep. And frankly, it's shit. A very sad way for a series that was so entertaining in its first two seasons (and pretty good for the next two) to go out. But if, like me, you're a completist, you'll probably want to see it.

Well it was kinda shitty but the only good season of the show was S1, and it just spiralled down from there. But I gotta admit, the twist in The Final Break that
they didn't rescind Michael's death like I was 100% expecting
surprised me. I found that refreshingly not the "usual TV way" of doing things.

The Final Break is a DTV "movie" made to wrap up the series, as the Season-4 finale doesn't wrap up the show all that well and no more seasons were ordered after it.

Watch the seasons and then watch the movie.

Hmmm, I actually thought that good as S1 was, season 2 was even better. But it should have ended there. The Sona season was a bit of a drag, though it picked up for the first half of Season 4, which was good fun. However, by the second half of S4, they were just running around with no apparent purpose.

I think this mid-season break that a lot of US shows now do seems to be a bit of a jinx for a lot of shows. That's certainly where seasons 3 and 4 of PB went off the rails (admittedly the writer's strike helped derail S3).

Okay, I just finished the last episode of season 4 and I don't think I will bother to watch the movie.

Well, I was surprised that it was Michael who died in the end, because I was sure, that Lincoln would kick the bucket. Michaels death would have made a lot more sense if he had actually destroyed Scylla. In that case one could say that Michael probably believed to do the right thing by destroying the device. But in the process he had destroyed the knowledge of the advanced medical treatment as well and therefore can't be safed in the end. No good deed goes unpunished. But the way it was it felt a bit pointless. What I liked about the final scene, though, was that they all came together in his memory.

I agree with Temis: The only really good season was season 1. It went downhill from there. The first part of season 4 was okay, but once
they got Scylla
the show got more and more ridiculous.

Yeah, the Final Break sucked. Lori Petty is no substitute as the women's prison counterpart of T-Bag.

I'm still pissed about the coda of the series finale though and that jacked up ending. It was a whole series of downers, they could have had a happy ending.

When I saw the finale for s1, I knew it was going to be all downhill from there. I've caught some random eps across the years, but when I read a spoiler for the finale, I thought, no more.
