A couple of the Peter Pan/Power Records "Star Trek" stories are on youtube.

Passage to Moauv
A Mirror for Futility

I had these as a kid. I can remember culling the records department at Sears, specifically looking for these in the early 80s as a young tot of five. Didn't matter that the actors weren't the same as on television. Didn't matter that Sulu was black and Uhura blonde.

With MEGO action figures in hand, I'd listen to these over and over again, so much so that I could tell where the record would skip or scratch.

The same feeling I had listening to those or when I read the Whitman re-releases of the old Gold key comics is the same feeling I had watching the new Star Trek movie.

To me, it's all Star Trek just different interpretations of the same source material.

Enjoy and be a kid again by listening to these.

Hey, this is cool!

We didn't have much $$$ at all when I was a kid, so I never got the chance to hear them then. I'll definitely be checking them out.

Joe, thankful

I had some of these. I was really confused by the white Uhura, black Sulu, and the M'Ress who looked nothing like M'Ress...

Memories...

When I was a kid, there was an old 5 & 10 store in town that had all kinds of old and out of print "new" stuff. When I was about 6 or 7, I found a bunch of these in a milk crate of $1 read-a-long stories. Used to listen to these things for hours. :)

there was a site recently that had all of them available for mp3 download. I got them, but I can't remember the site...

I am old enough to remember those, although I didn't have the ST releases from Power. Being a huge comics fan as a kid, I got the Spider-Man album, which also had 'Captain America and The Hawk'(I.E. Falcon) The Fantastic Four, and The Hulk, all on one record...I just went in the other room and pulled it out of a drawer where I've kept it for a long time to see the rest of that. But, I don't have a working player to reminisce with...I wish I had those Mego action figures from ST, but, alas, back then, it was all the Marvel/DC superhero line for me. Problem was, man, they didn't hold up long! The arms would 'break' with those bands they used to hold them!I hope the re-released TOS Megos some years ago are made better ,for kids who'll play with them.

Good find. These records were a bit before my time... great to finally see what all the fuss was about.

The guy reading Passage to Moav is quite good. I especially like his portrayal of Bones.

Had them on LP..all of them...and a Space 1999 set as well...

always thought these would be great for the animated series..

Alan Dean Foster wrote some of the Power record stories. In his "Star Trek Log" adaptation of the animated episode "Eye of the Beholder", he has Kirk make reference to the mission of "Passage to Mouav".

Excellent, I had some of these on cassettes, I used to love them when I was a kid.
