Cinemablend reported that Star Trek is the full title.
Since we're throwing out titles just for the fun of it, I like 'Star Trek: Distant Worlds'.

Seriously, I want it to be called STAR/TREK and be a complete reboot of the concept.
Problem is, it's NOT a reboot at all but a new series with a specific chronological origin.

We actually don't know that at all. All that's been "reported" so far is a bunch of recirculated rumors and theories. Nothing official has been announced.
I thought that was the original title for STAR TREK VI?
(Seriously, Dennis Miller made that joke on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE shortly after the sixth movie was announced. "Paramount Pictures just started production on a new movie, currently titled STAR TREK VI: THE APOLOGY.")
It will probably be called something like Star Trek: Chronicles since it's rumored to a be an anthology series...

My thinking is that it will just be Star Trek. It's branding, putting it in line with an established franchise of series and movies, and not taking a risk to subtitle it and compartmentalize it.
Plus if it's to be different timeframes or different ships each season, that covers it all without worrying about subtitles.
