NBA 2023-2024

Tonight's broadcast said LeBron James has played against ten different father and son combinations in the NBA.

I would hope they wouldn't. These guys are already running up and down the court for 48 minutes a game for 82 nights a year.
Stephen A's rant was about at least competing, even if not at a regular season or playoff game level.

I wonder if it would be more competitive if they did it right after the NBA Finals and offered the home-court advantage of the following NBA Finals to the winner of the game (that last part has at least been tried in MLB).

The Hawks beat the Celtics days after the Celts beat the Bulls and the Bulls lose to the shitty Wizards.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls find a way to slide right out of the top 10 at this rate.

Maybe I'm not seeing it, but is a freshman who averages 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 19 minutes a first round pick? Or is it because of his last name James?

This is the time of year I start paying attention to the NBA. Try as I might, I can't get invested in the regular season.

Holy crap! The #9 Bulls beat the #10 Hawks. I wasn't sure they could manage it.

Friday night, they play an actual winning team in the Heat. They're 2-2 in head2head this season.

Patrick Beverly throws ball into stands, hits woman in head. Gets the ball back, throws at another fan. What does he get? A four game suspension without pay at the start of next season.

Can't interfere with gambling in the playoffs.

So Celtics are in the finals. They got absurdly lucky with injuries but they still won the games. Now we get the Celtics/Kyrie narrative. The media seems to play Kyrie as the hero. But no, he’s the idiot who blew up his last two teams and abandoned one of them for half a season with Antivax whining. The real revenge narrative is Tatum beating the narcissist who abandoned him.

WOOOO CELTICS!

It's crazy how much the analysts were down on the Celtics before the final. I'm not sure if it was just because they find it hard to fathom that the best team could just be an unselfish team of six players who are solid on both ends of the floor and not a team driven by an exciting Bron/Kobe style hero superstar with an axe to grind. Or if Draftkings was pressuring them to drum up Mavs bets.

Pistons fire head coach Monty Williams after one season, meaning they still have to pay him $65 million for the rest of his contract.

In the second round, the Lakers draft a certain USC freshman who isn't even good enough to be in the NBA just so he can play with his father.
