Making of a TNG episode on Reading Rainbow

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I figured I'd post it again for people who hadn't seen it. My first exposure to Star Trek was seeing an episode of Reading Rainbow as a kid where LeVar Burton shows the filming of a season 1 episode (I think it's Symbiosis). It's an interesting slice of history.

I also get the impression that this aired after Tasha had left, as she's shown on screen but they never mention her or her character.

IMHO it's cooler that people re-post stuff rather than digging up old threads (if any exist) on the same topic and, yeah, it's fun to revisit good stuff like this!

He was only 30 when TNG season 1 was filmed. Can't believe it's been 37 years now. The documentary holds up marvelously, too!

Also, 0:45 in - I was worried he'd break out into the Gilligan's Island theme. Glad he didn't... !
