Looks like we will have a fully bearded Lieutenant Spock on Discovery

Hipster Spock has arrived.

Short of not being able to shave, I cannot see why.
Obviously, he wasn't able to, being stranded and all.

But even if that wasn't the case, who cares? Data even tried having a beard once. Is it unreasonable to think that a young man who's probably having a bit of an identity crisis might try growing a beard?

Looks good on him. I've been a fan for almost 30 years. TOS is still my favorite Star Trek series, no matter how much I like DSC. I can take or leave Berman Trek. The beard looks good on him.

No need to do the mock outrage thing. And yes, it is mock outrage. I'm calling it. He had long hair at the beginning of TMP, he has a beard here because he's lost or otherwise off-duty. Not a big deal. Not everyone keeps the same look when they're off-duty. And, from the looks of it, he's not on the Enterprise at the moment.

So if Spock ran off to chase something, there was obviously not time or resources to maintain regulation grooming protocols.

No biggie.

The trailer looks epic. Looking forward to S2.

It's hillarious isn't it?

WERST BEERED EVAR!!!1!1

I wonder if McCoy's TMP beard received an equal amount of outrage

He's gone all Spriker on us. I think after last Season when the main topic was where's the hair this time around they're are giving it to us

He looks more devilish, less buttoned up.

You know the fans have their priorities straight when the primary concerns are Klingon hair and Vulcan beards.

When they go after every little thing at every single turn they have to start to realize it's weakening their position. Sometimes they might have a point that I agree with but is it a specific point that's part of a targeted and specific criticism or is it -- to mix metaphors -- them attacking everything in sight, throwing everything against the wall, and then it's a case of even a broken clock is right twice a day?

I'm leveling this toward anyone who attacks everything about any series, not just DSC. It just happens to be Discovery's turn up at the bat.
