Is this a good sign?

I'm not sure waiting until 12 days out from the premiere to finally make a trailer, a few posters, and a few tweets counts as "heavily."

They stealth-announced the release date a month before the premiere, never got in contact with major Trek news sites like TrekCore, and I saw more promotional push from the writers/producers and fans. Most of the promotional effort has been pushed off of Netflix onto everyone else. Compare this approach with every other Trek series and season that has premiered since Discovery.

I just saw the first trailer a week and a half before the season actually arrived. I haven't heard much of anything before that, and what I did hear was basically about the French version. I hope Prodigy does well and gets a third season, but I

It ends with
the event from Children of Mars and the flashback from PIC S1, and the show could end there. No big cliffhanger, but they could go on easily while the Romulan evacuation happens.
I hope for more seasons though, as is just got better and better so far!

Unfortunately, "heavily advertising" does sound as clickbait/wishful thinking rather than what Netflix is actually doing.

Having said that, it's good they have released a proper (and very nicely done) trailer for S2 and that they bought the rights to start with. We came quite close to not seeing S2 at all. If there will be more after all, it's a bonus.

I really hope Prodigy gets a third season, too. But if it doesn't, I hope season 2 is less of a cliff-hanger than this sentence was! ;)
I don't know what happened there. Maybe it's the whole compose button next to "post reply" that is throwing me off. It actually isn't the first time it's happened to me post upgrade and it's weird.

That sentence should have been I hope prodigy does well and gets a third season, but I am not optimistic.

Just watch and hope, I'll take anything as a good sign until shown otherwise.

I don't know about others, but this was a serious sleeper hit for me, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. If it wasn't for big Trek Twitterers I feel like I would've missed out, so perhaps the secret to its longevity lies there.

I know nothing about Netflix and advertising. I don't know how many shows/movies that appear in a given month.

I won't get my hopes up, but its certainly encouraging.
I certainly WANT more seasons of Prodigy happening and other VOY crew coming back for cameos.
Sorely underestimated show.
