Discovery = STD
Destiny = Tiny
Destiny = Tiny
"Yes, yes. I'm George. George McFly. I'm your density... I mean, your Destiny."
On a more serious note: I thought about DES, but I guess DST works just as well.
Logically that should be...Discovery = STD
Destiny = Tiny
Correct, but I think overall (for most people) it would be "DSC" for Discovery and "DSY" or "DES" for Destiny, considering that most people typically use DSC right now for Discovery (although Memory Alpha uses DIS), and not STD as the poll insinuates.STD.
There'd be no reason to change something like that years after the fact; one would just call the newer series something else - probably Destiny. I've generally always called Voyager and Enterprise by their names - TOS, TNG and DS9 by acronyms. No rule.
Yeah, I suspect that was the intent.Correct, but I think overall (for most people) it would be "DSC" for Discovery and "DSY" or "DES" for Destiny, considering that most people typically use DSC right now for Discovery (although Memory Alpha uses DIS), and not STD as the poll insinuates.
The poll should have been worded as follows:
"If you currently use the abbreviation "STD" for Discovery, and If we were to get a new series called Star Trek: Destiny, how would you abbreviate Discovery?"
