I just noticed something: LD is the only current ST series with NO CALENDAR!

Lower Decks seems to have become the new DS9 and being criminally underrated and underappreciated in its own time, despite being the best of the current shows.

Is it, though? Apart from a few naysayers (fewer as with some of the other shows, it feels like), I've seen almost universal praise for the show from all sides, fans and critics alike. I don't think the studio ever expected an animated comedy show to have quite the same pull as their live-action drama shows, but it seems to still have a healthy number of people tuning in as well. So I don't think it's quite the black sheep you are making it out to be.

About the only area where Lower Decks seems to be neglected compared to the other shows is in merchandising. IE, we're already done two seasons with a third coming later this year and there's been no tie-in novels or comics and no ship models or toys or anything. Disco and Picard have had novels, comics and models and even Prodigy has toys announced.

I suspect this has more to do with Lower Decks being an animated sitcom, and animated sitcoms don't typically get novels or comics, and toy lines for them tend to be hit or miss rather than an intentional attempt to neglect the show my TPTB.
