Hemmer Character Teaser

TMP, actually. But that's irrelevant, as they were already wearing badges in seasons 1 and 2 of Disco, so why wouldn't SNW follow suit?

They shouldn't have worn them on Disco but at least those uniforms looked more different so maybe you could buy them. Same here. Sooner or later the show is going to have to ditch them and go full TOS look.

Not really. They didn't use patches in the Kelvin movies. They'll go the direction that the production and costume team want it to go.

Kurtzman Trek is afraid of straight vertical warp cores confirmed! :guffaw:

Looks really good though. Very technical.
There was no vertical warp core installed in the Constitution class in the Pike era. The idea didn't show up until Phase II. ;)

Well if you go by the cutaway Doug Drexler made for 'In A Mirror Darkly', it's both. The main core is under engineering

I'll be interested to see the "inboard profile" or "cross-section" or whatever they call it now for this version of 1701 when it's finally uploaded by whomever in the production team is authorized. But that's a discussion for the Trek Tech board...

Way bigger. These things in the background are staircases and catwalks. It's brewery sized for sure.

Holy shit you're right. Those are stair stairways in the background. Definitely a digital set extension.

I.... don't know how to feel about that. I had the impression this whole area was much smaller. I am not a big fan of enormous empty spaces and halls on starships (Star Wars excluded).

I just meant that some of the same producers were behind those infamous sequences from Disco, and thus SNW is also likely to also play somewhat loosely with plausible interior volume and ship size.

Technically, the actor is not blind, just visually impaired. He has no vision in one eye and reduced vision in his other eye. He's actually a fairly accomplished painter!
IIRC, he's legally blind. My sister has been legally blind since birth, a side effect from being an albino. Though she is able to watch TV and read and write in English script. She even tried to get a drivers license.

It seems like every set is bigger on the Discoprise. Shuttles included. Their version of the E-D bridge must be gigantic….like 3 stories tall.

There's a great deal of space in the engineering hull to accommodate large sets. That this has been broken up into smaller compartments and storage spaces in previous blueprints should not concern the designers.
