HELP NEEDED: Captain Kirk's chair plans?

Ok, I am almost convinced I must have a Captain Kirk's chair replica.

I can work with wood at basic level, but I never made a real piece of furniture. But it seems it won't take an expert to do it, since it mainly boxy.

My questions: Is there a set of plans or drawings around? Anyone here actually made one? anything you can say helps and is appreciated.

The best source of captain's chair plans and information is a thread on the Dewback Wing: ASAP forum on Yuku. You'll need to register for a free account, but once you're logged in, you'll be able to read a thread under the "Star Trek" section that's been going on for years (Sorry I can't provide a more specific link; my work is blocking access to Yuku). If you're serious about building one, your best bet is to read through the entire thread; it's time well spent (And yes, they have links to blueprints for building your own).
