Guilty Pleasure Songs...

I've always loved this song:

My husband is from Somerset, and we lived there for 9 years, so having the Wurzels as a guilty pleasure is pretty much mandatory.

Along the same line I love Mambo No. 5, but whenever I hear that song all I can visualise is what has to be one of the best scenes from The Royle Family.

I was never the biggest fan of early-to-mid '90s alternative and grunge but a few groups stood out of the pack and had some wonderful and even kickass songs. This is one of the groups and one of the songs. It was the opening theme to one of the decade's biggest box office flops but both it and the movie are highly underrated and underappreciated little gems.

:lol: Yeah, it does that to you.

BTW I love your username and signature. I'm a huge Poirot fan and adore Miss Lemon.

My guilty pleasure songs are anything by Hanson, the Backstreet Boys, and the occasional N'Sync. *runs and hides*

Is it wrong to say I love Barry Manilow?

Screw it. Sue my pasty white ass.

:shrug:

^I listen to Barry on the rare occasion. Mostly when I'm drinking and feeling slightly depressed. *lol*

I was raised on music like this. I have several Barry CDs and have uploaded some of his tracks.

Yes. I'm a sappy wuss. :p

...and now I blame you both for an earworm I won't be able to get rid of...

"Her nam was Lola, she was a showgirl, with yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there..."

<continues singing>

I will get revenge!

I was thinking of coming here and mentioning Hanson. Back in '97, I didn't feel guilty at all. Those boys were plastered all over my room... walls, ceiling... I had Hanson wallpaper.
