GO PITTSBURGH STEELERS!

Over 30,000 people at the pep rally yesterday. Tampa get ready, you are about to be invaded. Cards fans you are about to learn about fandom from the largest fan base in the nation.

Why the hell are you dragging the Yankees into this discussion at all? :wtf:

Your funny I like you. Won't save the cards from losing though.

No ... the Cards will handle that on their own. They don't need Terrible Towels, beads, rattles or any other voodoo. They just go out and whup your ass. Ask previously-unbeaten-at-home-and-now-bitch- ... er, that is, bird-slapped Carolina all about that.

Watch the birdie, Scooter. Fear the birdie.

I'll do nothing of the kind.

One thing about steel: it's strong and can crush a cardinal like an egg, much like our defense will do to Warner.

Right. The Steelers are yesterday's team, ie worn out. Have you ever seen what happens to old steel? It turns to rust and develops holes, just like the Steeler defense. Holes that the Cards will be exploiting often.

Well, if Warner gets hot, my Steelers are definitely in trouble. He's the key to the game. I hope we can blitz early, blitz often, and rattle him into making mistakes.

Well, we'll chalk that up to Steelers fans not being too bright.

Quite correct, smack talk aside. If the Steelers don't get to Warner consistently, he vivisects them. If they do, it could be a long evening for the Cardinals.

To quote an old Steelers highlight film. 79 IIRC" Trying to maintain a drive against the Steel Curtian is like trying to breast stroke through molten steel."

The Cardinal mauled the Eagle, and in the Super Bowl it'll just fly over your precious steely curtain. :)

I just wanted to see how many Pittsburgh Steelers fans we have on the board. Any fans of the black and gold other than the killer Stubby from Star Wars?

That pic is awesome.
Though it is black and yellow to my eyes.
Black & Gold is the Saints. Or it was. They have new uniforms now don't they? I don't follow sports regularly. But the Steelers take me back - Star Wars and 4 Super Bowls. Mean Joe Green. I dig the Cardinals, but I think they're going to get hurt when they realize this isn't a baseball game they're showing up for.

You know who else is a really big Steeler fan? Bill Cowher! He coached 15 seasons for them, went to the playoffs 10 times, went to the AFC championship an amazing 6 times, went to two Super Bowls, wining 1. He was the youngest coach ever to take his team to the Super Bowl in 1995. He is one of only 6 NFL coaches that won their division 6 or more times. He bleeds Black and Gold.

You know who he's picking to win the Super Bowl?

The Arizona Cardinals.

Wrong again. Steeler nation is the largest fan base. But you like being wrong. I can tell by the team you are rooting for.

I'm not buying that the Steelers have the largest fan base in the nation, bub. Prove it.

As a Steelers fan, I certainly don't want the largest fan base. Let the Cowboys or the Packers or someone else have it. It's always better to operate under the radar, as the underdog, which is why Arizona is in a great position with this super bowl. I envy them.

There is more than one Steeler bar in the town you live in. In the largest there will be around 4,000 Steeler fans on sunday.

Go to the pittsburgh post gazette web site and look up steeler bars for a full list of them around the world.

Everybody thinks that steeler fans just travel well and they do but the fact is that most of the steeler fans that show up at opposing stadiums live there. Even the guy commanding the space station has a terrible towel. Watch the dallas eps of the first 48 and their again you find a steeler fan. there is a terrible towel and other merch in this detectives cubicle. The cowboys may have the name america's team but the steelers truly have the title. We will prove it again the next time we visit az. On that day our fans will be equal to or outnumber yours. I also doubt you will see many cards fans in Raymond James stadium come sunday.

No relation to Arizona or the Cardinals in any fashion, my favorite team is the Jaguars.

And I count myself as a Cardinals fan aswell. Yup, they've got fans all over.

Guy youre just mad the Steelers wupped the jagoffs ass this year. Jm if the steelers lose they lose. I will still be a steeler fan. You however will probably jump on the bandwagon of next years frontrunner or whoever plays aganst the steelers in next years superbowl as they go for title number 7.

Oh yeah and they wont be losing to the cardinals. Try again next year.

I have no idea whether or not it's true that the Steelers have the largest fanbase in American Football, but if yes, is there any rational explanation for that? Is it because they are in the play-offs almost every year, because they won the Super Bowl four times in the seventies and the people who became fans back then have made their kids Steelers fans also, because Pittsburgh is such a shitty city that it's inhabitants migrate all over the US, or what?

Guy? Who is Guy?

And no need to be insulting about a team name.

No... I simply don't like the Steelers. I don't have a reason to.
The Steelers are simply uninteresting. I rooted for the Chargers
against them, and I rooted for them against the Ravens.
I forgot the Jaguars even played the Steelers this year.
I could careless, the beating us was inconseqencial to the
outcome of our season.

I've rooted for the Cardinals at times ever since they got Kurt Warner
and when they started to show promise this year I found it cool that
he had another shot to win, and the Cardinals have a chance to
go somewhere in the playoffs. I find their story more interesting and
alot more exciting than the same old team going for even more Super Bowls.

And I'm sorry, I picked my favorite team because of where I am from and
because of players and coaches I have liked over their history, not because
of how big I percieve my jock... er... their fanbase is or how many Super Bowl
titles they have.
