Ghostbusters update

I'm extremely skeptical about this, something tells me it's more than likely going to end up with an entirely new cast. :(

Hmm, those infos about a possible movie are interesting. I hope something good evolves from this.

And, yeah, the video game seems to be in limbo right now.

If it features the original cast i'm all for it. But I just saw Ramis in a movie called "The last Kiss" last night and he's put on a lot of weight since. That's why i thought a CGI ghostbusters is the way to go.

I'd have to say I'm open to both. I'd LOVE to see the original cast together again in a live action film, even if they've gotten older and maybe a little flabby ;). I actually think that the comic talent surrounding all of this could probably integrate those natural changes pretty effectively and humorously :D.
However, I'm also curious about what a CGI Ghostbusters would be like. It would certainly open up some interesting possibilities.

If Murray, Aykroyd, Ramis and Hudson return as their characters, then I would happily see the movie. It's my condition sine qua non. Otherwise I won't bother.

i wonder if murray needs money because of the divorce..
;)

frankly i was disappointed with the second film.
the animated series was better.

BTW, who wants this? http://www.timelife.com/webapp/wcs/...=10001&storeId=1001&langId=-1&productId=75501

I'd wait a year. A year after it's release, it will come out in stores for about $75 less or so.

Happened with the Muppet Show, Man from UNCLE. It's how they do things; Time Life gets it exclusive for 1 year, then it goes general market.

Been wanting this for years just like Indy 4.
I was happy with that return so I'm optimistic with a GB:3 as well.

Bleah, writers from The Office? Why not Aykroyd and Ramis? Call me both skeptical and not optimistic.

the game has been canceled from what I've heard...or pushed back significantly...No new Ghostbusters for a while.

Activision Blizzard's decision not to pick the game up as one of its slotted release titles doesn't mean that it (the game) is cancelled; what it means is that the game is currently without someone to release it. Terminal Reality and Red Fly Studios - the two development houses responsible for the different console versions of the game (TR developed the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions, while Red Fly developed the DS, PS2, and Wii versions) - had already pretty much finished developing the game when Activision Blizzard made their decision.

Even if the game doesn't come out this fall as advertised, it will STILL come out before any new Ghostbusters film, provided that Columbia can actually convince everyone to sign on the dotted line.

If this is true hopefully Aykroyd and Ramis will have some input in the script.

If this does come to pass I just don't see it being anything other then a CGI movie because of Murry.

Please no. If they couldn't even recapture the magic in the sequel, what makes them think they could do it over twenty years later?
