I never saw the 3 or 4 movies they did. I'm gonna be lost.

That being said, even though Futurama has a surprisingly fairly strong continuity, the show was largely episodic and stand-alone. I'm guessing that you'll be able to pick-up and follow the episode just fine.
There's no continuity anyway, so you only really missed 4 overly long episodes.
For the record, I liked all 4 "movies", but Futurama is better in the 1/2 hour format, so waiting for Thursday.

I really liked all of the movies myself.
I still can't believe this is actually happening, and it's almost here! I love The Simpsons, but I always liked Futurama a little more, and was devastated when it was canceled. Thank you Comedy Central!
I hope the ratings are good, and they end up ordering more than the 9 episodes.

They ordered a full 26 episode season.
Which will be split into two broadcast seasons.
Rebirth starts immediately following the end of the 4th movie. That's no problem, as that movie will air immediately before the premiere of the new season.
Also, TWO episodes are debuting Thursday. "Rebirth" and "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela".
8:00 Into the Wild Green Yonder (parts 1-4)
10:00 Rebirth
10:30 In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela
(And then numerous repeats of both new episodes through-out the week.)
Good news, everybody! Only six hours and ten or so minutes until the premiere!
Hooray! It's really happening. I'm really excited.
So excited! Between this and the finale of Doctor Who...it's shaping up to be a great week!
No idea where I came up with that 9 number. Glad I was wrong.
Though I can't find what Broccoli is referring to about it being split into 2 "seasons".
Either way, life is good.

The way I understand it, is that their airing 12 episodes back to back this year, and another 12 in June 2011.
