Free Refit Blueprints WIP.

Greetings. I've been working with three other people on a set of accurate Blueprints of the Refit Enterprise and I really want to share the work with everyone here, unfortunately, I cannot post pic, so I'm wondering if anyone would like to post the pics? I'll send regular updates and they can be posted here, until such time as they can be posted by myself.

"Warning" Most of this work does not have copyright verbosity on it. Besides myself, there are two others that wish to remain anonymous and one that will have some of the info with copyright on it. "Warning"

If that's going to be a problem, let me know now.

We have all been working together for some months and have traded data and research during the entire time. None of the CG work is mine. My primary donation has been time, research and trading of information and verification of data.

Just post the "image" tags as though it would appear, and allow someone else to "quote" your original post (you only have 22 more posts 'til you can post images yourself anyway!).

As for crediting, I think PTrope has been quite clear... no need to feel too defensive about it. If the folks you've worked with wish, as you say, to remain anonymous, simply state that you have two friends (or three friends or whatever) who have asked to remain anonymous, and leave it at that. As long as you're being truthful (and why wouldn't you be, right?), I think that's a non-issue, isn't it? You seem to be feeling a bit defensive... don't. As long as you show appropriate respect for the work of others, and you don't do anything that potentialy exposes the BBS management to any legal risks (extraordinarily unlikely, sure, but potentially possible), that's all anyone here really cares about, right?

OK, here's a little taste of what we've been working on.

Yes, why would I lie? I've got three people to back up what I'm saying and six months worth of e-mails. Defensive? What's wrong with defending your position if you feel like you are right? After having some moron acuse me a being a recaster and threatening "to do everything to get me shut down." Yes, I guess I'm a little defensive, especially after having an issue brought up that I thought had been put to bed.

Anyway, without further to do...... Feast your eyes. :)

Great! I can hardly wait to see your progress. Well done!

Thank you Micheals, but I cannot personally take credit for this work. We all worked together on this project, but I have done none of the CG, or CAD work, however, we all agreed to make the freely available to the fans. Truth be told, the prints are close to being done. When they are complete, I will have full sized, professional looking, accurate prints available from my website, at no charge!

Again, the are being freely give to the community! :)

I'm using these prints to create a 1/250th accurate Refit Enterprise, which will be approximately 48" long.

Keep on Trekkin

Your team is doing great work keep it up :D

Thanks Bernard, I'll pass on the sentiments to everyone involved.

If anyone here can take the .DWG files and output them to a standard sized sheet and output them to a readable.jpg file, I'll gladly send them to you for uploading to this thread.

What type of .DWG are you using I Use Autocad Lite 97
so File Compatability is = to Autocad 14 and older.
We, as in the group, are using AutoCad, TurboCad, Corel and Acrobat.... It's been a beoch getting information to transfer from one format to another. I think These files are compatible with AutoCad, but cannot guarantee it, it could be turbo....? I know my .DWG viewer has no problem with it, but I can't seem to resolve the aliasing problem.

Very nice work indeed :)
Thanks, but again, I cannot take the credit for the actual prints, only for research and developement and only a part of that. However, I do have a few other projects I'm working on and a great deal of data to share.

Here is a bit more.

The funny thing is, I started a thread about this on another forum, but a small group of people "Tried thier best to shut me down" and started a letter writing campaign to get me banned, due to my work on the 1/350th Enterprise, thus I'm not able to share the early work with you, unless I go back to my other computer and gather up all of the old references. Since the project has moved along, there's no need. Suffice to say, there has been a lot of work put into these. This is exactly what I wanted to do with the Public Resource Enterprise thread. The data is out there.
