Favorite NES game?

I second that super dodgeball, absolutely one of my all time faves. I'll add bionic commando, mike tysons punch out, ninja gaiden series, tecmo bowl, super bros 2, 3 was great, but 2 was so different than the others that I liked it that much more, Kung fu, bubble bobble, track and field 2, skate or die, megaman 2 and 4, contra of course and metroid with the justin bailey code

I'd go with SMB 1 2 & 3, Zelda II, Chronicles of the Crystal Palace, Ducktales, and Tetris.

Although not making my top 5, I'm glad Zelda II got mentioned, very underrated game. In recent years it seems to be getting a little more respect. If anything, nintendo had balls (and a little stupidity) to deviate so wildly from the first game. I love the music in this one though.

Hmm. This is a toughie, but I'll limit it to 5:
- Legendary Wings
- Blaster Master
- Amagon
- Faxanadu
- Star Tropics

Definitely Super Mario Bros 3. I remember my Dad having to drive me all over town to find a store that had it in-stock. I was obsessed.

Most of the games I remember loving to play when I was a kid really suck now. But that's just the way it goes

Mike Tyson's Punch-out
Kid Icarus
Mario 2 and 3
Excite Bike

Mario 3 has probably lasted the test of time though. It is just constant fun!

^ I haven't played the game in ages, but Tyson was pretty easy to beat after you get past that first minute or so of his patterned one-hit-knockdown punches.

It may be a common choice, but that's just because it's so darn good. SMB3 is my favorite NES game.

Yup. It's very under appreciated.

Once I played Link's level on Super Smash Bros. Melee, I instantly wanted a remake in that style.
