I finally skipped through the last dozen issues of Batman Eternal. It's a decent story, but it just feels like very little happens in each individual issue. It's all very spaced out. I am very curious to see who the mystery Big Bad is going to be though. I also liked the secret past of Jason Bard. The entire mystical threat to Arkham just felt like a huge waste of time, though. Corrigan becomes the Spectre and instantly defeats the villain in a single page!
I didn't say Hush wss good, just that it was essential. And it is, in that it's where we meet Tommy Eliot and learn who he is.
I thought Hush was a good story. It was better than abut 75% of Morrison's run, easily, and 100% of Scott Snyder's. I wouldn't say its the best Batman story ever, but it was solidly entertaining as a story.

Wow, I disagree. I loved Morrison's and Snyder's runs (mostly pre-New 52 since I gave up collecting comics a year into the New 52).
