DC's New 52: Reviews and Discussion (Spoilers welcolme and likely)

@House of UIster. Agreed about Ares/War. Also loved the line from Hell/Hades saying that Diana would make a great God of War. I'm very much looking forward to reading Morrison's Earth One when it comes out.

This is what I like.

Why Diana leaves immortal lesbian Paradise Island?

In the 40s it's Hitler.

In the 80s it's Nuclear Weapons.

Until recently it's been about feminism and peace.

(BORING!)

These days, there is no reason.

She just kills people or/and gods that get in her way while muddling about.

Aquaman #23 was good but did not give me all the closure I needed regarding Xebel, Atlantis and Scavenger. What about getting Orm out of prison? Then that ending with Vulko sitting vigil
over a wounded Arthur during the issues events who wakes up bearded SIX months later. Return of Peter Davids bearded and shirtless Aquaman!!!
I had thought this issue would wrap a tad neater going into Villains month. Does this story not wrap till after, it was part 5, but still.

So I was listening to "More Morrison" on Fat Man On Batman and Morrison mentions that his Earth One book has a title (or a subtitle) "Wonder Woman: The Trial of Diana Prince" and that he is presenting the book as Diana going through a trial. I'm guessing we won't see this until the Spring or Summer of next year as he also mentions Yannick Paquette has only finished 20 pages of his 120 page script so far.

That's the artist? That's a shame. I haven't cared for any of the artists on his entire Bat Inc run. He deserves better.

If I remember correctly he is mentioned that she is basically brought back and put on trial by the Amazons. I think Trevor is a witness there.

A bunch of uncolored pages have already been posted. They look fantastic.

^ That's correct. Trevor pleads "man's" case to the Amazons basically. Morrison also mentioned and seemed to be complimentary to Azzerello's current run as well.

Finished reading Justice League #23 and while the Trinity War has been underwhelming indeed...I really enjoyed this issue, and am excited now about Forever Evil. They're here!

We were seeing the Atom's thought bubbles during when Despero attacked the Satellite.

Is she that good?

Running a false narativein her head constantly just in case there's a nearby telepath?

Which there was.

Two of them even.

Superman/Batman #3 was really good. It's the best Superman title on the shelf right now, and I'm patiently waiting Pak taking over Action Comics.

Jae Lee's art was way too bizarre for that story. I couldn't tell which Bat and Supe was which.
That would happen in the old JLA/JSA crossovers too. You had to look for the streak of white in the E2 Supes hair to tell them apart. (though the colorist often forgot to add it.) In the first ones it wasn't even there!

I thought it was pretty easy. One was wearing a T-Shirt and cape, the other was wearing the full suit.

that art looks really nice. looking forward to this project. though i've been enjoying New 52 Wonder Woman from the start i would like to see her interact with some more traditional characters like Trevor, Circe and Cheeta in her own book.

But we never talk about it.

Poor Patty, she thinks that she is the Queen of the castle, but Iris is totally waiting for that relationship to go poof.

"The Flash" has been brought up earlier in the thread. I've heard only good things mostly regarding it...a few fans have been disappointed recently it seems, but for the most part I get the impression the book has been good.

yeah, i quit reading Flash after they showed the new look of Reverse Flash. the book has wonderful art...but the story leaves much to be desired.
