I agree with what one of the posters in that link said--that at one point, the wig and the other theatrical stuff will be removed and we'll see someone that will look like an average guy.

Personally, I tend to only remember the eyes of women. Tennant's ginormous eyeballs could be any B-actor trying to imitate Kriss Angel's ridiculous look. What should be considered truly and sincerely amazing is the size of the gun they would have to create to put against my head, in order to make me see this....
