Creed (Rocky 7)

So, it seems Sly Stallone is not yet finished with Rocky. A 7th film entitled "Creed" is in production with Rocky training/managing the son of Apollo Creed (Adonis Creed).

I am a big fan of the franchise, so I'll definitely give it a chance.

I saw something about this. I liked Rocky 6, it's too bad Adrian died though I liked her character in the films. I'm interested in seeing this when it comes out.

Rocky 6 (Rocky Balboa) was a great flic. It made better sense for Adrian to be dead though because she would be unlikely to let a 50 year old Rocky fight again, and the fact that he no longer had her gave him motivation to do something drastic with his life (like box again).

Did she die for creative reasons or could they not get the actress?

Rocky 7 isn't the worst idea in the world but last time they had Rocky coach a younger boxer the movie didn't work out too well.

She died for creative reasons. She's actually credited in Rocky Balboa even though it's just archival footage.

Aside from the fifth one, I've enjoyed the franchise quite a bit. And I like the idea of him trainin' Apollo's son. So, yeah, I'll go see it.

No it didn't. And, coming as that movie did only three short years after my mom's death (something I've never gotten over), and Talia Shire bearing a small (but significant) resemblance to mom, that movie left a bad taste in my mouth.

I love the Rocky series, and own all six of them, but watching that movie is still hard. And unfortunately, for reasons that have nothing to do with the movie.

But, OT: I've heard of Creed, but had no idea it was related to the Rocky series. I don't know if I'll see it in the theater though. I'll probably just wait for the disk to come out.

First one is a great classic, Balboa is agreat movie too. Sorta indifferent on the others.

That's actually my favorite Rocky movie. I basically rank them

Rocky III>Rocky>Rocky II>Rocky Balboa>Rocky IV>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rocky V

Rocky V is the only one I don't like. As for Creed, I'll give it a chance. It could be good, and I liked Rocky Balboa so I think they can still make a good Rocky related film nowadays.
