Based on the seemingly overwhelming opinion in the "Best Saavik: Kirstie Alley vs. Robin Curtis" thread that a poll should have been included, I've taken it upon myself to do the deed.

However, I'm including Valeris in this one, as some have pointed out that she should be included since she was originally going to be Saavik.

Vote for your favorite female Vulcan!

I would probably have gone for Celia Lovsky's T'Pau if given more choices. I really liked T'Pol too but she had the advantage of a lot more screen time.

Found this one tough: best Vulcan character, best performance or best actor? I think Alley is most charismatic; Cattrall is snarkiest; but think Curtis played best Vulcan given way she was probably directed. Given other choices would have gone for T'Pol as favourite with both TOS & ENT T'Pau as close second.

*random female Vulcan who isn't on the list*

Because all the cool kids are doing it.

Upon the choices given, Kirstie Alley by a long mile.

No ill feelings towards Robin Curtis, but she was almost a non-character during her appearance: Vulcans are meant to be cool and logical, yes, but not necessarily bland and forgettable. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Kim Cattrall just didn't feel like a Vulcan at all. Alley's Saavik was quirky; Cattrall's Valeris was just bitchy.

T'Pau.

I think its weird that Alley is has the most most votes considering she only arguably played a Vulcan, and then only in name.

Arlene Martel.

If limited to only the three poll choices: By grading Curtis on a curve due to the restrictions Nimoy reportedly placed on her, I come up with a three-way tie.

I'd vote Fionula Flanigna as V'Lar, just to be difficult. And I remember liking her performance.

^yet another great Vulcan from overlooked series. Might be an age thing but I really can't understand the obsession with Alley...

T'Pau, definitely. She had a real presence.

Suzie Plakson's Dr. Selar was good, too.

Of the choices offered, I went with Kirstie Alley as Saavik. You could see in her eyes that there was a lot simmering beneath the surface. I found her intriguing.

I definitely blame Nimoy's direction for Robin Curtis' "block-of-wood" performance, which made her parts of the movie hard to watch at times. And Valeris just never made much of an impression on me.

None of the above.

T'Pol. Followed by Sakonna, V'Lar, (ENT) T'Pau and T'Pring. Selar could be there if her character was more developed.
