It's currently 31C in Newcastle at the moment, but I remember a few days back in December where it was 40C plus. No fun at all.

Not in Adelaide are you?
Could you put some of that heat in a box and ship it to me in Minnesota? I'll pay postage.
We haven't gotten above 0 C/32 F in a long time.
I wasn't offended, in case you were wonderingI didn't include New Zealand in my maximum temperatures. I will rectify that now
Yeah, Canterbury is notorious for its summer highs, and winter lows, I'm glad I live up here and not down there, Cantabrians just can't seem to win, temperature-wiseThe highest temperature ever recorded in New Zealand was 42.4°C, in Marlborough, Christchurch, and Rangiora (in Canterbury)
Er, I think I'll stick with my 24 degrees, thanksThe highest temperature ever recorded in Auckland is 34.4C.
It seeems that northern Tasmania is suffering higher temperatures than Hopbart is. On Flinders Island the temperature reached 41.5C - the highest temperature ever recored in Tasmania. At Fingal the temperature reached 40.6C and in Launceston the temperature reached 37.5C which was their hottest day since WW2. High temperatures should continue Friday and Saturday.
In isn't common for temperatures in Tasmania to be more than 30C for more than two days in a row.
It is already 27C in Hobart and it is not yet 10am. It looks like it will get higher than the predicted 29C.
