AOS returns at the end of this month.

Given the events of S2, the aftermath of AOU and the build-up to Civil War it'll be interesting to see how things go on the TV side of the MCU.

Hopefully I'll be able to be more active this year in the thread, but daily business keeps me occupied and stressed anymore.

Sept 29. Be ready!

I thought if we posted in this thread we'd be killed. Oops.. *thud*

Marsden is fine, nothing to see here, move along.

I see the red-head quintuplets are briefly visible... I wonder if they will be making a repeat appearance.

I saw the pictures on Newsarama, and she looks great. I can definitely see the influence of the comic costume, but it's not identical.

To be fair it's not like there seems to be a definitive design or even a specific colour scheme for Quake's outfit. A quick google image search turns up about three or four distinct designs right off the bat. The only consistent features are the dark coloured/black jumpsuit and gauntlets of some description.

Some designs have a black & orange motif, some have her wearing a chunky neck brace thing, others also have huge shoulder pads. Some are skewed more to the superhero aesthetic, others more to the tactical/super-spy look. Sometimes the gauntlets appear fairly low key, other times they look big enough that she could arm wrestle Hellboy with them.

With all that in mind, one could hardly call something that includes at least the baseline "catsuit + gauntlets" combo anything less than faithful and accurate.

Honestly, I can't get that excited about another black jumpsuit, even if it is comics-accurate. It just makes me happier than ever that the Berlanti DC shows are willing to go all-out with the colorful, ornate costumes (even if the colors are a bit subdued).

I also like that both DC and Marvel are gradually becoming more willing to show off some of the more colourful designs, but I don't think that would suit the role in this instance.

Remember that Daisy (training myself to call her that instead of Skye) is an Agent first and a super-hero second. On top of that, the whole "Secret Warrior" thing by definition necessitates keeping things relatively low key. It's not meant to look like a costume per-see, it's tactical gear with special equipment for her powers.

I actually like the idea that there might be some uniformity to the outfits here. It's basically X-Men in all but name (they're even getting a cool new jet going by the season 2 finale.) I think it's a nice contrast to the very public Avengers who are a group of individuals (mostly with HUGE egos) to have a more cohesive, almost paramilitary style team.

I didn't realize she had so many different costumes. I'd only ever seen this one.

The only Quake costume I was acquainted with was the one from the Avengers cartoon (the good one, not the current one).

While we're at it, AoS really should redesign Mockingbird's costume to put some white in it.

^White stripes on a black suit doesn't really work if you're trying to be stealthy.

Mockingbird's outfit is going to be a bit harder to adapt since let's be honest, it looks very silly, particularly for a non-powered person.

They may do an homage to it one day if there has to be some sort of skydiving scene and put her in a wingsuit. Other than that, they're better off sticking more or less with what they have.

They could add some grey or flat silver in place of the white to get the same effect without making it overly visible.

She used to hide her staves in her sleeves, but she already seemed to have them hidden up her sleeves when she escaped from HYDRA with Simmons in her invisible jet.
