Agents of SHIELD: Season 3 - Discussion (SPOILERS LIKELY)

Who are the woman in the white dress, and the woman right after Deathlock's first pic? I didn't recognize them. Besides that, the rest of the pics were cool. I can't wait for the new season to start.

Finally, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3 cast photos round off with a formal look at Constance Zimmer’s character, Rosalind Price. The head of the Advanced Threat Containment Unit is dressed in white… but somehow, we still don’t trust her.

I thought it was her, but the picture was too small the first place I went, that she looked too young to be her, but it's her.

You know, I kind of wish that the Advanced Threat Containment Unit had a acronym that actually spelled something out. That should be a running joke, that every big organization in the show has an acronym that spells a real word, like SHIELD or SWORD

I think that Ward should dress a bit more formally if he wants to lead HYDRA. What's he going for, "the secret evil conspiracy you'd want to have a beer with"?

You only dress in a suit to impress people, to respect people, or because you're told to.

I suppose you could just "like" suits, but what's that got to do with power?

Ward has no one to respect, no one to impress, and no one's telling him to do shit.

He doesn't have to "look" powerful, or display the trappings of the powerful because he is powerful.

No one to impress? He just wants to lead a conspiratorial, would-be world-ruling villain organization. HYDRA's founder was a much spiffier dresser.

From what we saw of his prospective followers, I guess this is "Working Class HYDRA." Can Brett Dalton sing? "If you wanna be in HYDRA, well just follow me...."

That actually sounds pretty much right. He has this persistent delusion that he's a nice guy who cares about people and just wants to be their friend. And that first "new Hydra" meeting in last season's finale was in a bar, wasn't it?

I'd chip in for Hugo Weaving's salary to see Johann Schmidt come back and smack Ward around some.

^^ I'll chip in matching chips.

It does include Deadlok, so it looks like even if he isn't a main cast regular, he will be involved in the season.
It's Deathlok, but, if I remember correctly, Deadlok was Rich Buckler's original name for the character.

Agent of HUNK. Hydra's Uber New Kewlness. :mallory:

Yes, I've heard the heads of the Canadian chapter will be Bob and Doug McKenzie.

Actually, I could see Ward in a suit alienating the very base he wants to attract to his cause, whatever that may be. Those Dreadnoks that he was talking to at the end of S2 sure didn't look like suit people to me.

Interesting timing on those Canadian jokes. Ottawa Pop Expo just announced that Dalton's going to be one of the Name Guests. Also, we've got a federal election underway right now, and it'll have ended about four weeks before Pop Expo opens.

I was wondering how Hydra sourced Income.

Those heavies use revenue, not create it.

Supercrime my ass.

Hydra probably ran out of Nazi gold in the 1960s.

Of course Hydra was probably Superman IIIing S.H.I.E.L.D.'s bank accounts.

Have you ever watched a PBS Charity/funding drive?

I'm thinking that Hydra has a lot of billionaire sponsors who get hard when shit blows up, or know how to make money from the foreawareness of terrorism.

Suit people who don't control or lead Hydra, they just pay millions and millions to stay 24 ours ahead of CNN to earn billions and billions.

We saw some of those pro-HYDRA moneybags types tricked into ending each other last season, yes? And the Insight disaster would've cut off the embezzlement access to SHIELD money.

Coulson knows about Echidna Financial Management, too. So how long will that money-grabbing front group last?

Speaking of which, are those Congressional hearings into Insight still going?

I forgot about Colson losing his hand. Interesting Simmons was in the caps considering she was sucked into the.... blackness or whatever the goo was/is.

I wonder if the show will take in to account the HYDRA faction we saw in Ant-Man? They seemed to have ample funds. At least enough to buy the Pym Particles.

Regarding the Ward picture and his attire, notice the Hydra logo too. That was the lo-fi spray paint version. So the production crew is all on the same page.

Regarding Hydra funding, I'd love to see Ward knock over an armored truck. The dude has shown some serious infiltration and spy and situational planning skills right from the very first episode, so surely he ought to be able to rob a bank with ease, right?
