A “fleet” that doesn’t fight…

It seems like nearly anybody can use the Borg TransWarp conduits after they got taken out.

That opens a lot of potential exploration & trading that is incredibly cheap & easy by nearly ANYBODY.

Also opens up invasion, raiding, piracy, etc; to nearly anybody from across the Milky Way.

There is potential for SERIOUS problems across the entire Milkyway if it gets abused.
Makes for great story telling, doesn't it? :D

It's almost like Star Trek: Legacy is set in the "Perfect Time Line" to deal with it since it would be cheaper (Fuel/Energy Consumption) wise to use the existing remnants of the Borg Transwarp Conduit Network to travel around vast distances then to burn their own fuel.
Is fuel really much of an issue? Wasn't Voyager able to go just over 3 years before needing to refuel?

They had many pit stops along their journey home, plenty of time to seek out Deuterium sources and to manufacture Anti-Deuterium or find species willing to trade their Anti-Deuterium.

That's not even counting the amount of time they need to seek out Dilithium Crystals to act as moderators for the M/A-M reactions.

Fuel is one of the most important things in Multi-Year journeys, Bussard Collection offsets only a small fraction of the Deuterium consumption needed.

And remember, Deuterium is needed for Fusion & M/A-M reactors.

And the Electro Plasma Energy is used to power nearly everything on the ship, so any Space Battles that Voyager encounters saps into that supply as well.

Shields / Phasers / Torpedo all consume the base deuterium supply.

And yet, by the 32nd century they're ignored despite the fact they offer a direct route between Starfleet Command and a planet with enough dilithium to end the post-Burn dark times.

Apparently there were debris from "The Burn" when ships blew up while traveling in them, ergo the crazy dodging done by Booker & his fancy flying.

If your pilot sucks, they can potentially die and contribute more debris to the Transwarp Corridor.

So unless you have somebody ready to clear out the Transwarp Corridor of Debris, then it becomes a giant navigation hazard.

Even with Booker's "Highly Agile, Transforming Ship", he was constantly hitting debris and BARELY made it out alive.

Booker stated that other couriers generally avoided the Transwarp Tunnels as well due to the massive amounts of debris.

So unless your Ship is a "Super Tank" of sorts, clearing out all the debris will while moving at Super Fast speeds is going to be a "VERY HARD" project.

One where a weakend UFP would have a VERY hard time to pull resources to accomplish.

Again, I would think clearing the pathway to that thing everyone is in desperate need of would be a priority. Especially for Starfleet, given it's practically on their doorstep.

When StarFleet HQ is in "Hiding" and their resources / Fleet of ships are really low / small, there's not that many ships they can call upon.

And remember they only had the support of a few worlds at the time. And many ships were taking VERY long to travel to accomplish their missions via old fashion Warp Drive.

Post Burn StarFleet is "Incredibly Weak" compared to what we see in the 24th century where you can literally have thousands of Ships & Captains.

It's not really an arc... you can watch each one without watching the others. A few of them have the Syndicate playing a big part and in others it's background.
