I'm halfway through watching TIA again, to catch things I missed last Saturday. I've got loads of questions (as we all do) so I'm ready for the second half of the premier.

I'm probably to going to watch the episode for the third time in preparation for tomorrow's episode (after watching the new episodes of Treme and Fringe). I can't wait. :D

I was thinking everyone is trying to find out where "future" Dr's TARDIS is. It's how many years into the future of the "present" doctor so maybe the car he was chilling on is the TARDIS with the chameleon circuit fixed? Or is there some reason he can't fix it?

On another side note in the trailer for next ep it shows the girl standing in front of the silence maybe there "allied" for lack of a better term? or working together to save/kill the doctor?

The Doctor tried to fix the Chameleon Circuit a number of times in the original series (at least two I can recall). One was in Logopolis, another was in a sixth Doctor Story that I believe involved Cybermen but I don't recall the name. He was more succesful the second time but eventually it turned back to a Police Box. Donna mentioned it at the end of "Journeys End" seeming to think it could be very easily fixed. Of course there are two reasons it will probably never permanently change from being a Police Box (though I'd imagine it might change for plot reasons at some point as a gimmick) a) It's the most iconic single element of the show... if the show lasts 100 years it'll still be a Police box, and b) the Doctor himself obviously likes it that way.

The first Doctor also repaired it for a short time, using the Meddling Monk's TARDIS' chameleon circuit, I think, in The Dalek's Masterplan. But yeah, since the police bos design is an integral part of the Doctor Who brand it won't ever be permanently fixed.

Excellent, better than part 1. Can already feel the Internet starting to seize up.

ok so ive now seen the episode, and well ive leave the cliff hanger to later, but the show did seem to suffer from having so many characters, not just the 3 companions, but also Canton as well, just made felt like each character didnt get enough screentime.

Nixon excellent use of a President, and some good homour around him and just generally, eg the Doctor leaning on the invisible TARDIS in the "prison"

The bad as ive said too many characters, and the three month time jump seemed a waste.

Not sure how the Doctor having every human being shooting a silence on site is a vicoty, even if they cant remeber, its not very Doctorish, alot more Riverish.

The little girl, well the ending, has Moffatt made it his goal to destory Galifery Base, and Who fandom generally? that is amazing, suggests the girl is the product of Amy & the Doctor.

8 out of 10 for me, good they didnt answer all of the questions, but they answered enough.

Not necessarily - if the suit being involved in the Doctor's murder last week was also time-travelling (the Silence have the "poor man's TARDIS" from The Lodger) then the fact he was mid-regeneration when it killed him may play in to what happened with the little girl.

Another resoundingly average episode.

If it wasn't for River/Alex Kingston these Moffat 'event' episodes would be barely worth watching. The scene in the jail was heartbreaking.

At least this time the cliffhanger was a bit interesting - who is the little girl? Which is more than could be said for the whole, who and why did the Doctor die plotline which wasn't moved on at all and I have no interest in anyway.

Back to adventures in time and space next week thankfully.

I loved River falling into the pool and the doctor telling tricky Dicky he will be remembered.
But I really want answers about the girl, could she be a young river or the reason River is locked up?

Brilliant, far better than the first part. The Silence turned out to be far more interesting than they were in the first part. Hard to keep track of everything as well, but that made it so fun to watch.

Not sure exactly if the Silence were completely defeated. Yes, they get revealed, but if they've ruled humanity for thousands of years, they're not going to get completely tossed out by a few being seen and shot.

But interesting at the end with the girl...
