They are still there, just a bit hard to see.
This is the Star Trek I've truly been waiting for. Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, and Prodigy are not to be discounted. Each one of them does their own thing with a fresh take on the world.
But sometimes, just going back to the tried and true premise of Star Trek; seeking out new life and new civilizations in an episodic format is really all we need. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been more excited for a new Star Trek series than I have this one.

Hm, maybe the aliens at the start are the ones I, and others, thought where Antarans from blurry filming pictures.

Well, boo. Hopefully they keep them toned down.
I wonder if Anson’s narration about the mission is just for the trailer or if we’re getting a taste of this show’s opening titles.
I "went there" a couple weeks ago from the earlier teaser, but I think they're still there (Boo!)
Season 1 of TOS was also very Twilight Zone inspired in a lot of it story aspects. For one love the call back to it in this new series.
Maybe the Romulans cloned him? Like they cloned Picard aka Shinzon? I wonder if one is a good Spock and one is a bad Spock? I wonder who will win? Can’t wait to find out… or maybe this is a battle in Spock’s own mind? Or perhaps most Vulcan’s have the same hair cut and look similar so it’s easy to say that they all look the same and assume that he is fighting himself?TrekCore pointed this out, it looks like Spock is flighting himself?
I absolutely love how this series is fully embracing having alien cultures that are like something out of ancient or medieval Earth times, just like TOS did. Strange New Worlds seems to be absolutely in love with the original series and wants to let us know that those types of civilizations are out there.

I like that idea.
I was worried a bit about the scenes we've seen of Spock renacting Amok Time, but if it's all in his head then that works a lot better for me.

So single hole (instead of Discovery’s three), now centered? And the front part is silver, like TOS, but attaches to the phaser body differently.
I like the look of it, but I liked Discovery’s props, too. And I do miss the needle tip that made the original phaser more futuristic space gun than real gun.
Too small though for my liking.
This is a prequel apparently, obviously set 7 years previous to his most explicitly documented Pon Farr (other than the Genesis device time accelerated SFS on screen canon mating Pon Farr). This should actually help us to put an exact Stardate on this precise scene if we extrapolate the backwards passage of time since Amok Time?
Anyone want to help me work this out? I’m really bad at math(s)…
