Question...will somene one beside the visiting nurse be available to assist once you are home? Keeping up the a house and the kitties is tiring and time consuming compared to what you've been through. Don't want you to overdo and get set back.

^ Yes, the nurse-friend who has been helping me will continue to do so. Former husband has committed to part of every Saturday. And I've asked the pet sitter to continue stopping by a couple times a week to help with the litter box and, mostly, give the kitties some continuity. I don't wanting him abruptly disappearing on them like I did.
Oh, yeah, a friend of the ex's used to clean houses for a living, and she's offered to come clean mine once when I get home. That'll be a big help.
