Ziyal's medical update :)

I am very happy to hear of the positive improvement in your health, Ziyal! How devious those infections can be. You are so fortunate how it was discovered early enough to dispense with it before things got even worse, like turning into a chronic condition. Anyway, welcome back to better health and I hope you get those fevers licked soon! :bolian:

Thanks, Gary7. Unfortunately, I suspect that the fevers mean that the infection -- which, by the way, was not discovered "early" by any stretch of the imagination -- has returned. Or perhaps just come back out of hiding. As you said, devious. The fevers are following the same pattern as they did before. :sigh:

I am so sorry this is happening to you again, TZ. {{squish}} But we all know you are strong and will get through this.

I know that when someone says "try to not let it get you down" it can often have the opposite effect, as someone else can not know what you are going through. But please know that you have a lot of people thinking about you and wishing you well.

We're all here to "listen" when you need to vent!

Take care and be well!

Ugg, I'm so sorry... I'm not familiar with the nature of this disease, but from what I'm seeing now, I can see why "devious" is an apt word to describe it. Well, all I can do is hope that you're able to fight it into remission and it stays there.

^Yeah, I imagine it's confusing to someone who doesn't live with it. The chordoma -- the bone cancer -- is gone, thank God, at least for now. It's the infection and related problems at the surgical site that've given me all this trouble for more than two years.

Shanndee, thank you for all the encouragement!

Thanks, RJ. It is irritating. Actually, it's depressing as hell.
:(

So you need some cheering up then:

I am not a cat person, by any stretch of the imagination... but this is soooooo cute!!! :D

I saw the plastic surgeon today. The bottom line is that we're going to watch and wait. I consider that to be relatively good news.

Nope, no discomfort. But we do have a game plan for if the problem escalates. Of course, in addition to what the doctor suggested, I will probably require an infusion of cute kitties.

Wait and see and no discomfort is good! Maybe this little one from "I can has cheezburger" can help ward off future issues as well as Klingons:

Actually, the doctor has prescribed that the kitties be taken orally.

You guys are outdoing yourselves, providing high quality bbs health care. RJ, you just made me :rofl:. Shanndee, I want to hug your Tribblekat. She and RJ's video upthread are two of the cutest ever.
