Yes!!!
It took five months and a day, but I finally came home yesterday. My kitties are ecstatic. I slept in my own bed last night (more accurately, I had insomnia in my own bed last night
). And I'm posting from my iMac instead of from my iPad. The iPad is wonderful, but not as one's only computer for five effing months.
For those who don't know... I had extensive surgery on March 15 to remove a sacral chordoma, a rare kind of primary bone cancer. Spent nine days in the hospital, six weeks in inpatient rehab, and three and a half months at the home of my best friend / former husband. Plus two brief rehospitalizations in May and June.
The next hurdle: I had my first post-op imaging done Monday. Will get the results when I see the neurosurgeon next week. I'm pretty anxious about that, to put it mildly.
I am so grateful for all the support I've received, both IRL and online. Especially here. Cardie-Bajoran hugs to you all.
